2023.03.29 16:01 bostonglobe Is it still cheaper to fill up an EV versus a gas car? Yes, but it’s complicated.

As electric rates have risen and gas prices have fallen, it’s a closer comparison.
The calculation could shift again soon in favor of the EV, however. National Grid has won approval to slash its home electricity prices down to 14 cents a kilowatt-hour starting this summer, and Eversource is likely to follow suit. At the new National Grid rate, filling the Bolt’s battery costs just $9, or less than 4 cents per mile.

ShiftCarbon (SHFT.CN) is a platform that allows clients, large and small, to measure their emissions comprehensively, set reduction goals, and embed carbon offsetting into their business.

According to the Corporate Credit Institute, a carbon credit is a tradable permit or certificate that provides the holder of the recognition the right to emit one ton of carbon dioxide or an equivalent of another greenhouse gas. “Our infrastructure lowers the barrier to entry for both businesses and climate project developers looking to enter the carbon market, which, in turn, could help unlock 20% of the climate change solution the world desperately needs,” Patch’s Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder Brennan Spellacy said.
A recent investor in Patch, Energize Ventures Partner Tyler Lancaster, stated, “The market for carbon credits is on a trajectory to reach $50 billion in the next ten years, making it one of the largest and most paramount markets of our time.”

Garvee Pallet Forks to Safely Move Your Heavy Equipment

If you have a large farm where you grow vegetables and other varieties of plants and also have some farm animals running around, you know there are a lot of raw materials required to run the farm. You have tasks like stacking hay bales, moving large cases of manure to the plantations, move the harvest to your storage, etc. Instead of manually lifting these weights you can simply attach a pallet fork to your tractor and move items around your farm easily.

What Are Pallet Forks?
Pallet forks are a type of attachment commonly used with heavy equipment such as forklifts, skid steers, and tractors. They are designed to easily attach to the equipment's lifting arms or hydraulic systems and allow for the safe and efficient movement of heavy palletized loads.
Pallet forks consist of two or more long, sturdy metal prongs that are evenly spaced and attached to a horizontal frame. This frame is then attached to the equipment's lifting arms, allowing the operator to easily lift and move heavy loads with precision and control.
The prongs of pallet forks are usually adjustable in width, allowing them to accommodate different sizes of pallets and loads. They are also often designed with safety features such as locking mechanisms that ensure the load remains secure during transport.
Pallet forks are commonly used in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, construction, agriculture, and warehousing. They can be used to move everything from bags of cement and construction materials to crates of produce and heavy machinery.
If you are looking for a pallet fork for your farm or your warehouse, we bring you the Garvee pallet fork.
Garvee Pallet Fork
Pallet fork from Garvee is a sturdy and durable instrument made of coated welded steel. Steel is a durable metal known for its strength and flexibility. It is a 60 inch fork compatible with most loader bucket skid steer tractor attachments.
It has a heavy duty thick rectangular tube wall and roll back protection slots to keep your objects safe and secure on the fork. It is also equipped with chain holes to ensure secure lifting.
It is an easy to install instrument. Simply slide the fork over the cutting edge of the skid steer bucket, and clamp it down to lock. It is extremely sturdy and firm and has zero chances of falling off from the skid steer bucket. The Garvee pallet fork can haul logs, lumber, and firewood, move fence posts, hay bales, and clear debris and brush piles.
Garvee has five varieties of pallet forks featuring different dimensions:

You can select one according to your lifting needs by having look at the dimension and the maximum weight the fork can lift.
Uses of Pallet Forks
Here are some common uses of pallets forks:

  • Material handling: Pallet forks are most commonly used for material handling. They are ideal for moving palletized loads of various materials, such as lumber, concrete blocks, bags of cement, and other building materials. They can also be used to transport large bags of feed or fertilizer in agricultural settings. In manufacturing and warehousing, pallet forks are used to move pallets of products and supplies, allowing for efficient loading and unloading of materials.
  • Construction: Pallet forks are also useful in construction settings. They can be used to transport heavy building materials, such as steel beams, roofing materials, and large bags of concrete. Pallet forks are also used to move heavy machinery, such as excavators and bulldozers, to different job sites.
  • Landscaping: Pallet forks are helpful in landscaping settings, where they can be used to move heavy landscaping materials such as pavers, mulch, and large plants. They can also be used to transport tree stumps and other debris.
  • Agriculture: Pallet forks are widely used in agriculture for a variety of purposes. They can be used to transport hay bales and bags of feed, as well as heavy agricultural equipment such as plows and cultivators. Pallet forks are also used to move livestock feeders, water troughs, and other farm equipment.
  • Waste management: Pallet forks are used in waste management to move dumpsters and other large waste containers. They are also used to move waste materials such as scrap metal, plastic, and paper.
  • Emergency response: Pallet forks are useful in emergency response situations. For example, they can be used to remove debris and other obstacles following a natural disaster. They can also be used to transport emergency supplies and equipment.
  • Mining: In mining settings, pallet forks are used to transport large rocks and minerals from the mines to processing areas. They can also be used to transport heavy mining equipment and machinery.
  • Forestry: Pallet forks are also used in the forestry industry to move logs, tree stumps, and other forestry materials.
  • Oil and gas: Pallet forks are used in the oil and gas industry to move heavy equipment and supplies such as pipes, tanks, and drilling rigs.
Things to consider when buying a pallet fork
There are several factors to consider before buying a pallet fork:

  • Compatibility: Ensure that the pallet fork you are purchasing is compatible with your equipment, such as your loader or skid steer.
  • Weight capacity: Consider the weight capacity of the pallet fork to ensure it can handle the weight of the materials you will be lifting.
  • Fork length: Consider the length of the forks to ensure they are long enough to handle the size and shape of the materials you will be lifting.
  • Fork thickness: Consider the thickness of the forks to ensure they are strong enough to handle the weight of the materials you will be lifting.
  • Attachment method: Consider the attachment method of the pallet fork to ensure it is easy to attach and detach from your equipment.
  • Construction material: Consider the construction material of the pallet fork, whether it is made of steel or aluminum, to ensure it is durable and long-lasting.
  • Price: Consider the price of the pallet fork to ensure it fits within your budget while also meeting your needs for compatibility, weight capacity, fork length, and construction

Important: before you send your codes please make sure your account is secure (if your password is twelve characters or less it's best to assume your account has already been compromised; your password should be eight randomly selected words, see 1 and 2). Scams where compromised accounts are used to leverage reputation to scam an unsuspecting user, used to steal codes during the middle of the trade, and steal unused gift cards the victim was saving for later are increasingly commonplace. If you have any concerns as to your account's security, please reset your password now and force logout of all sessions. Thanks

Win Picks
1 - #4 Hunter (3/1) - Coming off a long layoff with a strong race 2 back before pulling up in the last. Should be primed with good works. May see a battle with the 6
2 - #2 Bobby's Candy (6/5) - Much the best in a bad race. 8 could be a threat returning to the dirt
3 - #4 Let Freedom Rein (6/1) - Strong race 2 back on surface and with the addition of Saez looks good. Should find a solid price at PT
4 - #3 Built Different (8/5) - Likes this distance and surface. Repeats with Jose and a clean trip should be enough
5 - #4 Roll On Big Joe (2/1) - This front runner will benefit heavily from the cut back in distance.
6 - #7 Lunar Rocket (9/2) - With Irad, will try to hold off the 6 while stalking the field. Should have enough with the small extension of 1/2f
7 - #6 The Mrs (3/1) - Coming off a big race and should benefit from the step back in distance. Repeats with Rios and will hopefully hold off the 1 and Paco
8 - #7 Bravo Zulu (12/1) - Has looked best with Rosario on board. The cut back to 7 1/2f is huge for this front runner and we should see a much improved performance here today.

Goodluck Today Everyone!

2023.03.29 14:47 Demolecularizing Tips for sleeping in a cold, drafty, U-Haul? Are their van any better?

I thought a U-Haul would be decent for having somewhere to keep my stuff dry and safe and for some type of shelter from the elements.
It's better than nothing and I can actually drive places (expensively per mile).
However, this U-Haul is extremely drafty. The storage part feels so thin and the wind cuts right through it. The cab is only slightly better. Nothing is sealed and it's like bare metal. At least the heater works, but that burns gas. The cab is terribly designed, everything is in the way of everything else. There really isn't an easy way to lay down or sit up to sleep. U-Haul offers a van that's the same price, less$/mi, probably better GPM, and I hope seats that lean back. Maybe they're a bit more sealed from the cold too.
Does anyone have any tips for making my U-Haul somewhat less freezing and to better utilize the cab space as a bed?
Is trying to swap for a U-Haul Van a better option for warmth and comfort?

2023.03.29 14:43 UltimateTraders 3/29/2023 Daily Plays MU pathetic, a sign for tech? Wouldnt short or long but jesus! CALM sells eggs, eggs are like gold! In SYF 28.40 NWBI 12.21 I may buy 1-2 more stocks, wait, maybe open 1-2 calls/puts, no rush earnings in 3 weeks, markets shouldnt be sideways, should be down, heavy!

Good morning everyone. I got back in NWBI 12.21. I got SYF Monday 28.40 after selling 29. I only hold 5-6 stocks from 2023. I have only a handful of stuff from 2022 that I carried over. I am not compelled to do much. I don’t want to load up on stocks because I am 99% sure we head lower. I don’t want to load up on calls or puts because I do not know exactly when we will head lower. I really expected after Powell said no rate cuts, that would have done it, nope! We are near the same levels. At the end of the day, we should be in a stock for its cash flow power, for its ability to bring value to the business, to the stock, or, its ability to give us cash! This means all of this is really noise aside from earnings. Earnings will start coming 3rd week of April. Interest rates factor big time in earnings. The costs of capital for companies rises, as rate rises. Tech companies need to grow, need to invest, so they get hit the most when rates rise. When rates rise the future cash flows of a company decreases… This easily explains why these multiples…
Are supposed to drop… I get these questions daily, on what if I am wrong?? DAILY!
How can I be wrong?
You have eyes too!
Are rates higher or lower?
Are rates done or not?
Were rates .125% for close to 3 years?
The current Fed Funds rate is 4.83%
From March 2022 to now March 2023 we have had an increase of 4.7%
You have eyes too?
I made this video February 13th of 2022. This was even before we had 1 rate hike.
I explained in detail what rate hikes do, I used both CVNA and BA as examples
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rfLKQjmj2DA&t=86s
In this video I used a 1% hike example. Well, we had 4.7%!!!
What does that mean?
I am positive earnings will come down… POSITIVE!
Yes, there is a 1% chance that Apes don’t care and they still bid the market up, and ignore tons more of bad news coming… They ignore that in early May, we will likely have 1 more rate hike… They ignore no rate cuts in 2023…
But will they ignore something like MU ???
They might!? MU is up!
Check MU earnings! MU had a sales decline of 54%!!! They earned almost 200% more the same time last year! They went from making near 1 dollar to now losing near 2! That is absolutely horrific!
I wouldn’t buy or short MU.
However, MU is a good forecast on Tech. They make ram for all tech devices. If you see a lot of companies that make the components of phones, EVs, computers miss… Guess what? That means the sector will likely miss and in turn so will AAPL Samsung etc.
I wont short at the moment, maybe 1-2 puts because the market is being ridiculous. I am waiting for a 5% drop in 1 week on the market, or 2 days that are near 3%+ to give me the conviction I need. I don’t control the market, but I can read results, forecast sectors based on my experience… The data is bad! The SP500 at 4,000 or NVDA at 280 doesn’t change the facts that the DATA is bad. All it does is give you the clear sign that the market is still very over bought, speculative and that there are many sectors that need to sell off.
A stock price, at the end of the day, is supposed to reflect, what we as investors can get in return for a company. So if NVDA NFLX META earned 200% more money in 2022 than now, why on earth are the stocks much higher? Get me? Follow? They should not!
A company should be doing CALM ! Man this egg maker, I was trading this about 30, 2 years ago. This company had sales growth of 100% and made 6.62 per share!!! FACTS! We cant expect this to keep going, but you can probably trade it on dips at least several weeks before next earnings. A few weeks ago it dipped to 50 and I was thinking of going long. It has been in “Plays” for a while as egg prices soar…. Same thing as when Oil, Nat gas, Electric went thru the roof in 2022. The stocks of those companies that make, house, store those commodities went thru the roof. In 2023 the prices on these commodities have dumped and the stocks have followed. I knew that Nat Gas should be no where near 10! However, I expected with the War, that Nat gas in the winter would be 4 to 4.50…. This is normal for the Winter the last several years…. Warm weather, Nat Gas at 2.08 a multi year low… Crazy. If I didn’t already have BOIL I would get in, I have 1,000 shares avg near 16 from 2022. I decided in 2023 that I will start using a 33% stop loss.. because of BOIL, actually!
I am in no rush. I don’t want to make trades in this, it is ok to be on the sidelines. I may buy 1-2 more stocks… I may buy 1-2 calls and 1-2 puts, but I am not loading up on anything!
5 Trade ideas:
CALM – Smashed earnings again, surprised it is just 56.40 pre market. Let me watch it and decide, maybe I would get calls after that amazing report
ENPH – It hit a low of 193 yesterday, as the stock falls to 190, it makes calls with 200 strike and time more attractive for me. ENPH made good money, but the stock came off as they warned of 60-70% growth for the future….. Naturally, a company as it grows isn’t going to keep growing at 100% for years! … So I am impressed with HIMS who isn’t profitable just yet
NFLX – Dipped to 290! Last time it was 330 I had puts and traded it twice. This is a cult stock but the company is not executing!
NWBI SYF – I will try and make 25-50 cents. I am in NWBI 12.21 and SYF 28.40 . These are the companies I prefer to trade in a bad market. Check their earnings, PE ratios, financials… and the stocks have sold off
RAD – This company smashed during covid. This had been a fave. This has dropped near a multi year low. I wouldn’t risk much, last earnings reports were not good. The risk reward isn’t to bad as this falls near 2. I was trading it this time last year 6-8! Earnings in 3 weeks! Speculative but may be worth a small bet! Also, short 25%!

If you make a winning trade, I do not even expect a bravo or thanks but that’s fine, if you lose on a trade the same difference.. I do not even expect an upvote or reward… The Elite team is aware of the risks and volatility in the market.

Finviz parameter plays for the day
Not sure how these pics turn out but tried short float over 25%, over 50k average volume and price above 20 day sma
Got 11 stocks…2 are MARA And PXMD that have been talked about extensively here lol
Other 2 I like are MVIS which is at $2.28 low 2.00 and possibly in a reversal pattern down to up and VTNR which is in gas so that’s mainly why I like it. Don’t really see any pattern just hoping for a short squeeze.
Gonna try these today and see what happens…hopefully get my track record up haha

2023.03.29 14:30 upbstock prepper 🚽🚻🚻😜😜🗑🗑🗑😜😜

"Come on, baby, let's start anew," Alibaba (BABA) sang in a new hit-single released on Tuesday, with most believing it won't be hard to pull off for the company. Investors were certainly "down dooby doo down down" for the move, sending shares of the Chinese tech giant soaring 14% during the session. Chinese tech stocks rose in tandem, including JD.com (JD), NetEase (NTES) and Tencent (OTCPK:TCEHY), as well as Japanese tech conglomerate SoftBank (OTCPK:SFTBY), which was one of Alibaba's key early investors.
The plan: Alibaba will split into six different units covering e-commerce, media and the cloud, with the goal of boosting each group's individual business value. They include: 1) Cloud Intelligence, 2) Taobao Tmall Business, 3) Local Services, 4) Global Digital Business, 5) Cainiao Smart Logistics, and 6) Digital Media and Entertainment. "Under this plan, we will have six major business groups and other investments, each to be independently managed by its own chief executive officer and board of directors," according to a regulatory filing. Aside from Taobao Tmall Business, which will remain fully owned by Alibaba (BABA), each of the other business groups "will also have the flexibility to raise outside capital and potentially to seek its own IPO."
"With such an obvious and unexpected catalyst on our hands, it pays to explore what exactly this new development could do for BABA shareholders," wrote SA contributor Growth at a Good Price. He explores how to play the restructuring, while other SA authors are also bullish on the announcement. See Alibaba Drops A Bombshell by Investing Group author Jonathan Weber, as well as Alibaba Group: A Great Move Aimed At Boosting Shareholder Value by Daniel Jones.
Go deeper: The reorganization follows years-long headwinds for Alibaba shares, including a slowing economy in China and geopolitical tensions, as well as a broad tech selloff and sweeping crackdown on Chinese internet companies. In fact, the announcement came a day after the company's legendary founder, Jack Ma, made his first appearance in mainland China after several months overseas, and has generally been out of the public eye since he gave a speech in 2020 that criticized Beijing's financial and business regulators. It also raises questions about what may happen with the suspended record IPO of Ant Group, which operates one of China's biggest mobile pay apps called Alipay (Alibaba owns 33% of Ant). Jan. 3, 2022 ~NioCorp Achieves Positive Results in Metallurgical Testing of Possible Rare Earth Production at its Elk Creek, NE Project~

NioCorp Achieves Positive Results in Metallurgical Testing of Possible Rare Earth Production at its Elk Creek, NE Project - NioCorp Developments Ltd.
CENTENNIAL, Colo. (January 3, 2022) – NioCorp Developments Ltd. (“NioCorp” or the “Company“) (TSX: NB; OTCQX: NIOBF) is pleased to announce positive results from its ongoing metallurgical work regarding the process to extract rare earth elements from ore samples sourced at its Elk Creek Project (the “Project”).
Salt Lake City-based L3 Process Development (“L3”) has been conducting small-scale testing for NioCorp on rare earth recovery and flowsheet improvement and is also building an integrated demonstration plant at its facility in the province of Quebec. To date, L3 has completed several dozen individual tests using portions of a three-tonne representative sample of ore collected from the Elk Creek Project drill core inventory.
Recent efforts by L3 have focused on potential rare earths recovery, including the extraction of rare earth values from the high acidity streams characteristic of those found in the existing Elk Creek niobium/scandium/titanium process flowsheet.
In a recent development, L3 has demonstrated that Scandium can be effectively extracted and separated from the rare earth elements in solution using a phosphate-based extractant. With additional work, this phosphate-based recovery process could be shown capable of replacing the phosphoric acid-based extraction process that is part of the current Project design.
L3 has further demonstrated that the rare earth elements (lanthanum through lutetium, including the magnetic rare earths neodymium, praseodymium, dysprosium, and terbium) can be selectively extracted and separated from the leach solution using an amide-based extractant.

Feb, 2, 2022~ Jim mention in a response to a board member that they were "In talks with both American & European OEMS"?~ From AO's/IHUB response from Jim on Saturday, 02/05/22 12:50:37 AM:
"If NioCorp elects to proceed with the production of rare earth elements (REEs) as a byproduct of our planned Niobium, Scandium, and Titanium products at the Elk Creek Project, there are several factors that are likely to provide important insulation to market disruptions such as the world experienced when China aggressively increased its REE exports following the WTO ruling in 2015 against China’s then-system of REE export tariffs and quotas.
First of all, commodity price volatility is particularly difficult for producers that rely primarily on the production of one commodity, or set of commodities in the case of REEs, for the bulk of its revenue. This was certainly the case for the Mountain Pass facility, which only produced REE products. In sharp contrast, NioCorp’s production of REEs would be as part of a larger product suite of Niobium, Scandium, Titanium. Such diversity of production provides a high degree of flexibility when any one product suite experiences price volatility. Moreover, any REEs that we produce would be byproducts of our primary target products, and the cost of mining REEs and getting them into solution (in preparation for separation into individual REE oxides) would be considered sunk costs.

Also important in this regard is the fact that there are many more manufacturers today that are actively seeking non-Chinese sources of REE materials. In years past, consumers of REEs made purchase decisions largely based on price. Today’s markets are very different. Governments around the world – particularly in the European Union – are developing REE sourcing policies that will require manufacturers to use greater amounts of non-Chinese REEs. European automotive manufacturers in particular are now more sensitive to the geographic sourcing of the REEs they need. We know this because we are in direct discussions now with companies in that industry in both North America and Europe.

A third factor is the very large increases in forecast demand for REEs, particularly the magnetics, because of their growing use in environmentally preferred technologies such as electrified transportation, high-efficiency motors and pumps, home appliances, power tools, robotics, and many other industries. It is clear to all industry players that the world is going to need more REEs than China alone can produce and export – a lot more. That is why manufacturers of products that require REEs are aggressively seeking new sources of supply, particularly in Western countries.
Finally, China’s high-level REE industrial strategies have evolved over the past decade or so. China is less focused on exporting its separated REE oxides and is much more focused on exporting OEM products that utilize those REE materials. This industrial policy is very logical: by maintaining all stages of the REE value chain in China – REE mining, REE oxide separation, REE metal production, REE magnetic alloy production, REE magnet production, and all of the follow-on steps between the manufacture of REE magnets and the manufacture of OEM products that use those magnets, such as EVs – China is able to leverage its REE industry to provide a much larger number of jobs across this value chain for its citizens. This is also why it is not surprising to see China actively seeking to acquire REE mineral properties around the world today.
In my view, for these and other reasons NioCorp is in an excellent competitive position to do very well if we make the final decision to add magnetic REE oxides to our product portfolio.
I hope this information is helpful.

MAY 18, 2022 ~NioCorp’s Elk Creek Project Confirmed as the Second Largest Indicated-Or-Better Rare Earth Resource in the U.S.~

NioCorp’s Elk Creek Project Confirmed as the Second Largest Indicated-Or-Better Rare Earth Resource in the U.S. - NioCorp Developments Ltd.
Second Largest Indicated-Or-Better Rare Earth Resource in the U.S. ****NOTE: MP MATERIALS CAN ONLY PRODUCE THE LIGHT RARE EARTHS! NIOCORP WILL PRODUCE NIOBIUM, TITANIUM & SCANDIUM IN ADDITION TO VIABLE RARE EARTHS T.B.D. VIA ONGONG DEMONSTRATION OPERATIONS...****
CENTENNIAL, Colo. (May 18, 2022) – An updated feasibility study of NioCorp Developments Ltd.’s (“NioCorp” or the “Company”) (TSX: NB; OTCQX: NIOBF) Elk Creek Project (the “Project”) shows that the Project is the second-largest indicated-or-better rare earth resource in the U.S., second only to MP Materials’ Mountain Pass rare earth deposit.
The Company has completed an updated feasibility study (the “2022 Feasibility Study”) in collaboration with Understood Mineral Resources Ltd., Optimize Group Inc., and Dahrouge Geological Consulting Ltd. Rare earth elements (“REEs”) were evaluated as a potential by-product to the mining of niobium, titanium, and scandium; thus the estimated values of the REEs are reported using the previously determined diluted Net Smelter Return (“NSR”) as derived from the Nb2O5, TiO2, and scandium Mineral Resources. According to the 2022 Feasibility Study, the Elk Creek Project contains an estimated 632.9 kilotonnes (“kt”) of contained total rare earth oxides (“TREO”) in the indicated mineral resource category.[1] According to U.S. Geological Survey data,[2] this places the Elk Creek Mineral Resource behind MP Materials’ Mountain Pass deposit in the U.S. but ahead of all other current rare earth projects in terms of contained TREO from a NI 43-101 rare earth resource of indicated or higher classification.
According to the 2022 Feasibility Study, in addition to relatively high grades of niobium, scandium, and titanium, the Elk Creek Mineral Resource contains various amounts of all REEs. There is potential for NioCorp’s REEs to be mined, crushed, and placed into solution as part of the process NioCorp plans to use to produce its primary niobium, scandium, and titanium products once Project financing is secured. Depending upon the outcome of metallurgical testing on REE recovery rates from Elk Creek ore, now being conducted at a demonstration plant in Quebec, and whether necessary Project financing is secured, NioCorp could produce separated rare earths as a byproduct, placing it at a competitive advantage vis-à-vis other rare earth projects.
A new technical report on the Elk Creek Project summarizing the results of the 2022 Feasibility Study will be prepared by Dahrouge Geological Consulting Ltd. and Optimize Group Inc. in accordance with NI 43-101. The technical report will include details regarding the updated Mineral Resource and Mineral Reserve estimates presented herein, which are derived from the 2022 Feasibility Study, and will be filed on SEDAR (www.sedar.com) within 45 days of this news release.

Please see Jim's responses to questions posed for comment-3/17/2022.~A) Could you comment on what the production of higher purity Niobium & Titanium could be utilized for once realized?

"If the higher purity niobium and titanium intermediates that L3 was able to produce at bench-scale are replicated and proven at demonstration scale, this would put us in a position to more easily move to other products beyond those outlined in our 2019 Feasibility Study. Niobium oxide for use in Li-Ion batteries is one possible example, although the production of that product would require additional processing steps beyond the higher-purity niobium intermediate that we discussed in last week’s news release. The company is not yet in a position to make a determination on whether or not, and when, to possibly expand our Niobium product offering. Higher grade TiO2 could expose us to additional markets where higher margins could be obtained. But, again, we are not in a position to speak to those possibilities in any detail yet. "

~ B) Niocorp’s preferred separation method is SX. Are these higher purity processes part of an improved SX process or “something else”?

"No, the processes we recently discussed occur in the earlier stages of the flowsheet, prior to any SX processing. We look forward to unveiling those details once these processes are verified at the demonstration plant level and once all associated work needed to complete an updated Feasibility Study is completed. "

JUNE 6, 2022 ~Process Enhancements to NioCorp’s Critical Minerals Project Plans Point to Possible CAPEX and OPEX Reductions and Possible Lower Greenhouse Gas Emissions~

Process Enhancements to NioCorp’s Critical Minerals Project Plans Point to Possible CAPEX and OPEX Reductions and Possible Lower Greenhouse Gas Emissions - NioCorp Developments Ltd.
CENTENNIAL, Colo. (June 6, 2022) – Metallurgical testing being conducted now by NioCorp Developments Ltd. (“NioCorp” or the “Company“) (TSX: NB; OTCQX: NIOBF) in Quebec, Canada, is intended to quantify the Company’s ability to extract rare earth elements (“REEs”) from Elk Creek ore. It is also aimed at testing a carbonation process that can be used to recycle key reagents used in the removal of calcium and magnesium carbonates from the Elk Creek ore ahead of operations that are expected to extract and recover niobium, scandium, titanium, and rare earths once project financing is secured.
If proven successful at the demonstration plant scale, these process improvements have the potential to reduce projected Project operating costs (“OPEX”) and capital expenditures (“CAPEX”) as compared to estimates in the Project’s May 2022 feasibility study (reported here), as well as to lower the Project’s anticipated production of greenhouse gas (“GHG”) emissions as compared to projections in the May 2022 feasibility study. These process improvements also could allow the Company to produce calcium and magnesium materials at purity levels that may be sold as commercial products; however, further analysis and testing is required to determine whether there are reasonable prospects for economic extraction for calcium and magnesium before they could be included in the Elk Creek Mineral Resource.

AUGUST 3rd, 2022~ PRIOR TO BILL PASSING JIM WAS ASKED: 8/3/2022 :

Jim- Could you offer comment on how this may affect the Elk Creek Mine moving forward?)

117th Cong., 1st Sess. H. R. 5376 https://www.congress.gov/bill/117th-congress/house-bill/5376 https://www.energy.senate.gov/services/files/44ADD84F-9840-4B24-9BE9-DFCF353ABF2B Response:
"The Senate Democrats’ “Inflation Reduction Act of 2022” legislation does indeed include several provisions that may be helpful to the Elk Creek Project. These include both production tax credits that would apply to all the critical minerals that we intend to produce, additional funding for the DPA Title III program aimed at supporting critical minerals production, and additional lending authority for the Title XVII program at DOE. If these provisions survive the amendment processes in the Senate and House, the Byrd Rule in the Senate, and can be passed by both Houses of Congress and is signed into law, it could have multiple positive impacts to the Project.
The bill text, as is presently available publicly, is attached. This bill will undoubtedly change when the Senate takes up the reconciliation process, as reconciliation does not limit amendments. There will be many amendments offered by both sides. Some of the bill’s provisions may not survive challenges on the Senate floor under what we call the “Byrd Rule.” Additionally, implementing regulations must be written by agencies of jurisdiction following the bill’s enactment into law to determine many of the details of various programs and funding initiatives. As always with government programs and processes, little happens quickly.

Apart from this bill’s proposed provisions, WE HAVE BEEN WORKING WITH SEVERAL FEDERAL AGENCIES REGARDING POTENITAL ASSISTANCE TO THE ELK CREEK PROJECT, but those agencies do not allow us to disclose any details of those processes.

All the best,Jim "

2023.03.29 14:27 Thefaketweetbotuser need to save lives at the worst location in the world

I'm writing this from Iran. a country that is under a lot of sanctions from other governments across the world because of its government's behavior.
here in Iran, the internet is being sold as not only a subscription with time, but also a traffic limit, for example, you pay for a month, and only 5GB of traffic in that month! brutal, right? wrong! the more brutal part is that most websites, services, and apps are blocked for people because the government ordered internet providers to do so. Youtube, Twitter, Facebook, Telegram, and most others were demanding VPNs to be loaded on any platform (mobile or desktop).
now if you Google 'Iran protest 2022' you see some movement from people to change the regime, which I'm not a political activist and not gonna talk about that, BUT that gave the government a reason to block Instagram too, which I and many other people were using it, as a platform to find customers for our work, service, and product and have been creating different kinds of content in that platform(Instagram as mentioned)! lots of effort and work is been wasted due to a political movement which most people like to deal with, but not cowards like me :) I would not get involved with armed thugs of the brutal government! (if you Google Iran, you can see how many innocent people have been arrested, tortured, executed, and killed. call me a coward, I love my life, have people to take care of, and not gonna risk it, because they will kill anyone doing any protest, and not kidding about it)
what I like to do is to be kind, and try to start a charity for those who have lost their progress on social media jobs, and have been forced to sell their phones (which is a work machines for social media workers) to pay their bills, apartment’s rent and daily living fees. so, start the charity to do what? to buy phones (for those who sold theirs), and buy premium VPNs (for as many as possible) because the basic plans of the VPNs couldn't pass people through the strong filtering system that the government is implementing. And I know more than 20 social media influencers and content creators who have been victims of this internet situation in my country(about 10 million people in total as I mentioned, I’m in contact with more than 20 of them)!
and I probably should add that exactly because of those sanctions and the economic situation, every dollar (1$) equals more than 53,000 Toomans(our currency). so a 150$ budget phone (which is trash for professional social media work) is 7,950,000 Toomans! and that’s a lot of money in this country!
keep in mind that you gotta pay for house, food, gas and etc, and can’t manage to buy phones (with the prices that are growing every day)
so, life is tough :)
that was why I thought, maybe people from other countries could help me!
So, would you please help me fix my life and theirs?!
every little donation is going to change and save lives! including mine! For the start!
anyone of y’all is suspicious, I can give you a visual view of the life quality(at least mine) to make sure how f**ked-up the situation is.
by the way, due to sanctions, the ‘go fund me’ website is also blocking our ip :)
so I could not do anything there.
If anyone wants to help and donate, you can DM me here for a crypto wallet link(any kinda crypto).

Multiple gangs from Niqamui are in attendance, including the Rusty Gears. The leader, a goblin named Grizz Wistlefizz, murdered Bridget’s partner, and she knows that he’s participating in the race. Bridget wants to bring Grizz to justice, and is looking to FBK for help. After accepting her offer of pay, the ragtag party of guildmates set out. Bridget leads them towards the outskirts of Niqamui to meet her friend, a mechanic named Bixby Coppertongue, who can get them into the race, and close to Grizz.
Night falls as the party arrives at “Bixby’s Garage.” A purple and yellow splotched Frog Person hurriedly beckons the party inside. Bixby tells the group to grab whatever looks useful and follow him to his secret backroom where he keeps his experimental racing vehicles. There, the party gazes upon four impressive racing karts built by Bixby, FOR Bixby, a small sized Frog Person. It’s at this realization that Bixby gets the idea to use his patented magical light projector with the capability to transform the party into small enough humanoids to drive each vehicle. However, the transformation machine misfires, turning the four into tiny sized raccoons. With no way to operate a vehicle alone, and the race outside about to begin, the four hop into the stunt capable vehicle named the “Trickamui.”
Four tiny sized raccoons operating a kart built for a small sized Frog Person pull up between four massive gang vehicles. A dwarf with an impossibly long mustache holds up his facial hair and signals “GO” by waving his mustache. And they’re off!
Three of the coons press down on the gas pedal as Cathrine jumps over to one of the gang vehicles in order to sabotage it. The other three maneuver the “Trickamui” over to get back Catherine. Graveyard is barely able to pull back Catherine while Ignatious and Chico use a cart in the middle of the road as a ramp to jump over some rock hazards.
While making a hard turn past Niqamui University, Chico spots George E. Porgey doing maintenance on a track fence ahead. Chico yells at him to get off of the road, then proceeds to smack him with his broom into a muddy puddle. Catherine spies into one of the vehicles while the rest of the party swerves another vehicle off the side of the road. Through process of elimination, the party identifies the vehicle driven by Grizz.
Graveyard jumps over to Grizz’s vehicle to bring him to justice by way of mauling the face. While Ignatious invents more raccoon puns, the rest of the party invents the “Trickamui Drift” by speeding past Grizz’s vehicle and spinning around in front to face him head on, all the while being first to cross the finish line.
After subduing the criminal and loading him into Bridget’s paddy wagon, the rest of the Rusty Gears gang, lead by second-in-command Coal, load up into their race vehicles to rescue their leader. The party, towing Bridget’s wheelchair and paddy wagon, make their way through the streets of Niqamui to the police station while being pursued by the Rusty Gears.
Rocket blasting their way through the winding streets of Niqamui, the raccoons get closed in on by the Rusty Gears. Graveyard knows of a shortcut that cuts through the docks that will juke most of the pursuers. After weaving through the dock construction, Ignatious puts his tinkering skills to good use by repairing damage done to the Trickamui. In a last ditch effort to shake the gang members, Graveyard and Chico throw everything they've got at them, which causes all except Coal to spin out. The party then uses their signature “Trickamui Drift” to spin into the police station and close the reinforced garage door, blowing up the pursuers outside.
After all of the chaos subsides, Graveyard turns in the mission to Bridget. Chico gets one last glance at George E. Porgey who’s got his eyes on Chico, but can't do anything while in the station. Ignatious discovers from the wreck outside that the Eastinghouse company, owned by Edmas Thomison, had supplied the gangs with vehicles. And as Catherine sneaks around the police station, she runs into a vigilante moth named “Batmoth” who swears to bring Catherine to justice for destroying his home and murdering his family.
