2023.06.10 05:11 ANyxKiller Here's what I'm doing to try to increase my height
I 14M am about 5'10 in height and have been for 1+ year. I'm quite insecure about my height and for the past 6-7 months have been trying to find out ways to increase height.
Here's what Ive already done to promote HGH:
- I already workout 1-1.5 hours in the gym and have developed a good level of muscle for my age in the past 6 months https://imgur.com/DCToIa7
- I also play 1-1.5 hours of basketball/do cardio nearly everday
- I have a strict bedtime of 9pm and wake up without an alarm clock from 5-5:30. If need be I also take a 30-90 minute nap in the day.
- I have restricted sugar intake by quite a bit and no longer consume many types of unhealthy foods (chocolates, cakes, white bread etc.)
- I also try to each as much protein as my family can afford. Around 50-100 grams a day. Due to this I unfortunately cannot stop the consumption of high protein fast foods like chicken burgers/subs
- Just recently I've also started doing weighted hangs to decompress my spine and induce micro-fractures in my legs,
Here is my supplementaion plan going forward:
- 10 milligrams of melatonin before sleeping (I have sleep onset insomina so its not just for HGH)
- 3 grams of GABA before sleeping, 2 grams of GABA before workout
- 5 grams of ]Citruline before workout (I had some doubts on wether to include arginine or citruline but citruline seems better)

I dont know anyone else with this quick of a result.
My blood sugar is at 93 right now and im actually scared of becoming hypoglycemic. I keep trying to eat oat meal to get it back up a bit. Almost scared to go to bed. Anyone else experience this? Having the medication work so well so quickly?

Started enclo 6.25 ED this week ( don't want to have the suppression on ostarine talk) 6'2" and change and 245lb. I'm much slimmer than you would think at that weight. My waist is a 36 with some room and my shoulder are like doorway broad lol biceps are almost 17" Looking to sit around 235 at the end of cycle. Eating 2000-2300 calories a day. 100% sure I get 200+ Grams of protein in . I only drink water (3/4 a gallon a day or more) and the occasional sugar free low calorie/carb energy drinks. I'm positive am not eating more calories (I've been dieting 6 months and have lost 80lb) most of the time losing weight I was eating about 2500 calories. I track calories using an app, confirming all new food nutrition from multiple sources. Almost all my meals I cook myself .Seems like the last week and a half I have somehow went up a few pounds . Wondering if I'm just holding water weight ? I have been eating carnivore for these 6 months but added back some veggies like broccoli, cauliflower, spinach, lettuce, cucumbers
I have definitely put on muscle . Like really an insane amount for such a light compound. I guess I respond well to it.
Bmr 2156 . I lift heavy and hard as hell 5 days a week. Like 30 second to 1 min rest one machine or rack to another for basically an hour straight till my buddies leave. then I spend another half hour or so by myself doing stuff like slow movement dumbbell work and cable work. Usually followed by like 10 mins of cardio As hard as I can . Usually get a 6th day in doing cardio, and if not I'll work on flexibility. I know my calories are a little light.

2023.06.10 04:47 hnqn1611 The 10 Worst Foods For Your Brain - What Not To Eat
| https://preview.redd.it/nknub5z3r35b1.jpg?width=1280&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=706c454a48efd321932841ec539cefbb50e43841 10 Worst Foods For Your Brain – What NOT To Eat! More than your appearance, what you put in your mouth affects your brain. The food you eat can increase your brain power, stimulate cognitive function and improve your memory. On the other hand, some foods can have a devastating effect on your brain, and it’s best to consume them moderately, to limit their negative impact. So, avoid these common foods if you want a healthy brain! Number 1 - Sugar Sugar and sugar rich foods can affect your memory and your intelligence in the long run, not to mention that they can also lead to a variety of different neurological problems over the years. In a nutshell, sugar is known to decrease the brain activity by interfering with the insulin’s capacity to help the brain cells do their normal work, thus leading to memory loss. The more sugar you consume, the more prone you are to experiencing learning impairment or memory loss over the years. Besides this, the addictive nature of sugar is widely known to everybody, and this has some severe long-term consequences that take their toll on one’s cognitive skills. Number 2 - Trans Fats Trans fats cause a series of problems, from heart-related issues to elevated cholesterol and obesity. However, they are bad for your brain as well, as they make your brain more sluggish, they affect your reflexes and the quality of your brain response. Not to mention that they increase the risk of stroke! Trans fats can also have other effects on your brain - if consumed for too long, they can result in a sort of brain shrinkage that is somewhat similar to the shrinkage caused by Alzheimer’s disease. Number 3 - High Sodium Foods Everybody knows that salty foods affect your blood pressure and they are very hard on your heart. However, research suggests that food that contain high amounts of salt can affect your cognitive function and impair your ability to think. Otherwise stated, salty foods affect your intelligence! As a matter of fact, the consumption of salty foods have been shown to have the same effects as drugs, as they cause harsh withdrawal symptoms and cravings for salty foods. Number 4 - Fast Food While convenient, fast food is anything but healthy. Plus, it can make you fat, given the high number of calories. Beyond that, fast food contain ingredients that, in high doses, are bad for your brain. This includes trans fat, saturated fat, sodium, sugar, and a shit load of fillers you can’t even pronounce. It’s been shown that prolonged fast food consumption can affect the production of dopamine, which is commonly referred to as the hormone of happiness. And if the brain’s natural production of dopamine is affected, this can lead to anxiety and depression. In addition, fast food can also affect your capacity to focus, your overall learning capacity as well as your memory, which may speed up the cognitive decline that normally appears as we age. Number 5 - Foods That Contain Pesticide Residue Fruits and vegetables are among the healthiest foods you can eat. But, commercially grown fruits and veggies are commonly contaminated with pesticides. Increased intake of foods that contain pesticide residue leads to loss of neurons in some areas of the brain. And long-term exposure to pesticides can kill brain cells and trigger symptoms that are linked with Parkinson’s disease. Number 6 - Tuna Do you still eat tuna because you think it’s good for you? Well, the latest scientific research shows that eating tuna can be hazardous to your health. Tuna flesh is loaded with heavy metals because of the contaminated fish they eat. Tuna fish also accumulate toxic mercury in their flesh as a result of industrial pollution. The side effects of mercury poisoning include cognitive impairment and coordination problems. So, the toxicity greatly outweighs any possible health benefits of omega-3 fatty acids. Number 7 - Microwave Popcorn Who doesn’t love popcorn?! It’s fast, convenient and delicious. But, microwave popcorn is possibly the absolute worst food for your brain! It usually contains butter flavoring with the additive Diacetyl. It’s already established that this chemical causes a serious condition called “microwave popcorn lung.” But, Diacetyl is also able to cross the blood-brain barrier, a defense which prevents harmful substances from entering the brain. It causes beta-amyloid clumping which is a significant indicator of Alzheimer’s. You won’t see the word Diacetyl on the label, but if you see “artificial butter flavor” or “natural flavors” on the label, assume the product contains this neurotoxin. Number 8 - Processed Foods The food additives, preservatives, and food dyes contained in processed foods have a negative impact on cognitive functions and behavior in children. Artificial food additives consist of about 3000 different chemicals that are added to processed foods. And among the popular additives, MSG - which is used to emphasize the flavor of the foods, can wreak havoc on your brain health, attacking the brain stem. Naturally, consumption of these foods isn’t beneficial for your health and things get even worse when you eat this type of food on a daily basis. Number 9 - Soy This may come as a surprise to many, but this so called healthy bean can be harmful if consumed in large quantities. Studies have found evidence that a high consumption of soy has a negative effect on the brain, especially for those over 68. Although it is not entirely clear what effect soy products have on the aging brain, soy seems to heighten the risk of dementia and lower memory function. Number 10 - Artificial Sweeteners When people try to lose weight, they have a tendency to think that they’ll become slim overnight by simply replacing sugar with artificial sweeteners. While it is true that artificial sweeteners do contain less calories, they can actually do more harm than good! If used for an extended period of time, artificial sweeteners can cause brain damage and interfere with your cognitive capacity, especially if you use it in high amounts. The bottom line is, these really are the worst foods to eat, and most of them should come as no surprise. So, try to avoid or at least limit your consumption of these foods to preserve your brain health as you age. submitted by hnqn1611 to TopPersonality [link] [comments] |

2023.06.10 04:39 Sophia-Jennifer How do you lose 30 lbs in 1 month?
Losing 30 pounds (approximately 14 kg) in just one month is an extremely ambitious and potentially unhealthy goal. It's important to approach weight loss in a safe and sustainable manner to protect your health and well-being. Rapid weight loss can lead to muscle loss, nutrient deficiencies, and other health risks.
While losing 30 pounds in one month may not be realistic or advisable, if you're looking to lose weight, you can focus on a gradual and sustainable approach. Aim for a weight loss rate of 0.5-1 kg (1-2 lbs) per week, which is considered a healthy and achievable goal. Here are some strategies to help you:
- Create a Caloric Deficit: To lose weight, you need to create a caloric deficit by consuming fewer calories than your body needs. Determine your daily caloric needs based on factors like age, gender, weight, height, and activity level. Aim to consume around 500-1000 calories less per day to achieve a gradual weight loss.
- Balanced and Nutritious Diet: Focus on consuming a balanced diet that includes a variety of whole foods. Incorporate plenty of fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, whole grains, and healthy fats into your meals. Reduce your intake of processed foods, sugary snacks, and beverages high in added sugars. Practice portion control and be mindful of your eating habits.
- Regular Physical Activity: Engage in regular exercise to support weight loss. Include a combination of cardiovascular exercises (such as brisk walking, jogging, cycling, or swimming) and strength training exercises (such as weightlifting or bodyweight exercises) to burn calories, build muscle, and improve your overall fitness. Aim for at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity aerobic activity per week.
- Monitor Your Progress: Keep track of your food intake, physical activity, and weight loss progress. This can help you stay accountable and identify areas for improvement. Consider using a food and exercise diary, mobile apps, or online tools to assist you in tracking your progress.
- Seek Support: Having support from friends, family, or support groups can be beneficial for motivation and accountability. If possible, consult with a registered dietitian or a healthcare professional who can provide personalized guidance based on your specific needs and circumstances.
Remember, weight loss is a journey that takes time and dedication. Focus on making sustainable lifestyle changes and prioritize your overall health and well-being. Losing weight gradually and maintaining a healthy weight in the long term is more beneficial for your health and more likely to be sustainable.

2023.06.10 04:38 Sophia-Jennifer How can I decrease my weight from 100 to 70?
To decrease your weight from 100 kg to 70 kg, it's important to approach weight loss in a gradual and sustainable manner. Here are some general guidelines to help you on your weight loss journey:
- Set Realistic Goals: Aim for a gradual weight loss of 0.5-1 kg (1-2 lbs) per week. This is considered a healthy and sustainable rate of weight loss. Setting realistic goals can help you stay motivated and maintain your progress over the long term.
- Create a Caloric Deficit: To lose weight, you need to create a caloric deficit by consuming fewer calories than your body needs. Start by determining your daily caloric needs based on factors such as age, gender, weight, height, and activity level. Then, aim to consume around 500-1000 calories less per day to achieve a gradual weight loss.
- Balanced and Nutritious Diet: Focus on consuming a balanced diet that includes a variety of whole foods. Include plenty of fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, whole grains, and healthy fats in your meals. Reduce your intake of processed foods, sugary snacks, and beverages high in added sugars. Practice portion control and be mindful of your eating habits.
- Regular Physical Activity: Engage in regular exercise to support weight loss. Incorporate a combination of cardiovascular exercises (such as brisk walking, jogging, cycling, or swimming) and strength training exercises (such as weightlifting or bodyweight exercises) to burn calories, build muscle, and improve your overall fitness.
- Monitor Your Progress: Keep track of your food intake, physical activity, and weight loss progress. This can help you identify areas for improvement and stay accountable to your goals. There are various mobile apps and websites that can assist you in tracking your calories, exercise, and progress.
- Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water throughout the day. Water can help control your appetite, support digestion, and promote overall health. It's a calorie-free option that can help you stay hydrated while avoiding high-calorie beverages.
- Seek Support: Consider seeking support from friends, family, or support groups to help you stay motivated and accountable. If possible, consult with a registered dietitian or a healthcare professional who can provide personalized guidance based on your specific needs and circumstances.
Remember, weight loss is a journey that requires patience, consistency, and a long-term mindset. Focus on making sustainable lifestyle changes rather than pursuing quick fixes. It's also important to prioritize your overall health and well-being throughout the process.

2023.06.10 04:28 nayube Does being less hungry during your period have anything to do with PCOS? Can you relate?
I'm wondering if y'all can relate or know why this is. So I've PCOS (high DHEA of 1,500 and high testosterone in my case) with ALL the classic and niche symptoms. I have not been on medication for a year due to a lack of insurance, and I get my periods once every two months, which is "better" now compared to the past. So in my day-to-day life, I tend to feel hungry 24/7, and food is basically the first thing I think about when I wake up that gets me to get up and get through the rest of my day. That's where I'm at, and it's been a huge roadblock in my weight loss journey of 3 years because of this poor dieting and overeating of 2000-3000 calories that causes constant weight gain and fluctuation. When I am eating clean and being strict at 1300-1500 calories, I'd gain 2-3 lbs back in a single day after the many weeks or months of endurance it took to shed that just by eating even a bit of carbs or fried (like a 400-cal egg roll cheat or McDonald's spicy chicken burger, for example). It's been a lot of back-and-forth with this, where I'm doing well and then my little cheat breaks it all, and then I give up for a month and binge like crap, and so on and so forth until I restart the whole healthy eating process.
However, I've made an observation that I tend to eat far less than usual during my periods and, consequently, also lose 1-3 lbs. I'm eating two to three times a day, but there are absolutely no cravings during my period aside from the initial need for a bit of sugar the day before or on day 1. My periods typically last for 6–5 days. I was wondering if anyone knows the reasoning behind this or if they can relate. Many women tend to eat more or feel even more hungry during their period, but for me, it's the complete opposite, and so I was wondering what was going on and if it tied into PCOS?
Edit: I wasn't sure what was the right tag.

2023.06.10 04:11 Accomplished-Bug7434 How to reduce high cholesterol levels in your 20s?
Hi,
I’m a 28 year old female with a BMI of 18. Since heart disease runs in my family, I decided to have my cholesterol levels checked and they are pretty high for my age. Total cholesterol is 246, LDL is 149, HDL is 75 and triglycerides is 50. No sugar(Random blood sugar is 94, A1c is 5.2). My TSH is borderline high(5.4)
My diet hasn’t been particularly unhealthy, so I’m not quite sure how to modify it. I eat one egg daily (sometimes two), fish once or twice a week, chicken and red meat once in a month or so. I also take a serving of fruit and seeds(pumpkin, chia, flax and sunflower) daily. Milk is the only dairy I consume daily (a glass or two), butter and cheese once in 2-3 weeks. I eat a rice based meal(polished white rice) twice daily. I take cod liver oil supplements daily for Omega 3s. I eat very less vegetables so that I something I consider changing. I haven’t been exercising, so that is another factor contributing to high cholesterol, I guess. What should be the diet and lifestyle modifications I should be doing to keep my cholesterol levels in check?
My resting heart rate is mostly in 55-65 range with SpO2 of 99 or 100%. Since I’m not an athlete, is this low heart rate a reason for concern? Many thanks!

2023.06.10 03:58 PacmvnGaming Once Upon A Time.. In Wayne’s World.
| Fair Warning I’m going to try my best and not sound like I’m gatekeeping for the sake If of preventing this post from getting out of control. I was 12 years old when I started listening to Wayne (2004), and before Wayne I was heavily into TI, Dipset, 50 Cent, Jay-Z + some others, but it was mainly those guys. In 2005, I moved to New York for a brief period in my life, where I was taken in by an aunt and older cousin of mine. Shortly thereafter, I became a part of my cousins group of friends, and it was at this time that my fascination with Wayne’s music took an exaggerated turn.. I became obsessed. I ran through the old Squad Up tapes, Prefix, Suffix, and then the Carter 2 released, followed by the start of the Dedication series only a week after. It was a lot to take in, but at my age, and with how blown away I was with Wayne’s artistry- I ‘no life’d’ his entire discography and there was no looking back. By 2006, I had moved back home to Boston, and I was be acknowledged as a “Wayne Head”. I knew every bar, to almost every drop he had. I would literally log into DatPiff every single day to find a leak via “DJ Whiteowl” (real ones know, “dropppp thaaaaaat!”), and “The Empire”. This was still during the Limewire Era, before YouTube became useful for finding unreleased tracks. 2007, everything changed. I won’t get too deep into this part because I feel like I’ve said enough but man.. I don’t think any rapper, in any time throughout their career could say they’ve had a run like 2007 Wayne. Wayne’s 2007 run, is better than a lot of rappers entire careers! Til this day I say 2007 was the greatest year of my life, in large part because of what Wayne was putting out every other day/week. If you missed out on 2007, man- idk what to say lol this was a year worth dying for. Then things started to slow down a little bit, but we still got No Ceilings, and the first Sorry 4 The Wait was pretty dope. Carter 3 was fire, but as 2011 hit— I felt a change. Carter 4 was still really good imo, but this was the beginning of the end for me. Now this is the part where things get shaky.. I still love Wayne man, he got me through A LOT of crazy ups and downs in my life. His music on any given day felt like a WWE theme song for me personally, like a entrance to start my day for whatever I was getting into. I also almost went to his “Carter Tour” this year, but I thought he was only going to perform recent music (last 5-10 years). And yeah… With all due respect, cause he’s always gonna have a special place in my life story (idc take that how you want), I feel like Wayne hasn’t dropped a flawless record since “No Ceilings”, which to me is very underwhelming. I also take a stand that every album since Carter 4 has been mid, to below average. I’m totally aware that Wayne is older now, and it’s about giving back to the game, and putting on for the up and coming generation of rappers- but it feels like.. - He’s drowned himself out in auto-tune.
- His bars are sometimes just flat out lazy.
- He force raps himself into a lyrical blender the way Eminem does nowadays (ex: rap god. just putting a bunch of rhyming words together).
There are obviously levels to this, and music is subjective at the end of the day. I just feel like Wayne can do “no wrong”, by some fans. He’s not perfect, never has been, but as of the last few years, his music has become a very very tough listen. With the exception of a limited select few songs, I’m almost completely removed from that feeling I used to have (2004-2011). Note: This is messy lol, I apologize. I didn’t put all of what I had to say in here and I could’ve (maybe should’ve), condensed this by a lot but, I had something on my mind and just put it out. Is there anyone else on the same boat in regards to Wayne’s more recent work? Anyone have a relatable upbringing or experiences? Just curious.. ♾️ submitted by PacmvnGaming to lilwayne [link] [comments] |

This is a homebrew game that will be run on discord using the Avrae bot (I'm not using the initiative/combat feature on my end). We will be using Dndbeyond for character sheets (I have content to share with you). I am a grown adult, please be 18+. Anyone can apply. I'm looking for 3-4 players.
We will be using homebrew candy races I have created for the game, you can choose an official class to use but will be reflavored to fit the Candy Land theme, same goes for spells (they will be reflavored as well). We will reflavor backgrounds. For character creation: starting level 3, either roll for stats on discord or standard array, take starting equipment that comes with your background. The game will be mostly theater of the mind. Rules mostly RAW but there will be quite a bit of Rule of Cool added in. We can go over more specifics if you are chosen. I hope to get the game started this weekend if I get a good group together. I'm ready to play.
Posting expectations, I'm in the EST (GMT -5). This game is going to be a little faster pace than most. At least up to 3 posts a day if not more. I don't want this game to fizzle out due to inactivity and get bored of it, waiting for people to post. If you cannot do this, please don't apply. There is a question on the form asking your active times, please be as accurate as you can ( I understand real life comes first and there may be days slower than others), but I want to try to get a group that is a good fit and on the same page of posting.
No NSFW (it will be faded to black), no sexual assault, no child assault, no being jerks to one another. This will be a fun game that brings back some childhood memories. On the question in the form where I ask you to share something with me, please tell me what you think your favorite area in the game will be? Would it be the Chocolate Marshmallow Swamp, Peppermint Forest, Licorice Lagoon, Gumdrop Mountains, or the Caramel Canyon? You don't have to be descriptive unless you really want to share with me why you would choose that area. I feel that I have gone over everything that I can think of for now.
If you read the entire post and are still interested in playing, please fill out this form.

2023.06.10 03:34 amiafuckinwitch Things that helped when I was going through withdrawals. Klonopin.
I was on 3mgs of Klonopin for almost 8 years. And even though I had the help of my psychiatrist and a slow taper… the withdrawals hit me like a ton of bricks. But my last dose was April 17th and haven’t touched it since. I figured I would make a list of things that helped.
- A weighted blanket. I was so twitchy and had awful muscle spasms and for some reason having a weighted blanket helped with it.
- Peppermint tea with a small amount of sugar. I had no appetite and food made me nauseas. But after I would drink a cup of peppermint tea I felt hungry and I could hold my food down.
- I’m not a medical expert so please take the next thing with a grain of salt. Dramamine. It helped with the nausea and it helped me fall asleep. It made me quite sleepy.
- Distractions. Video games, TV, movies. Anything that would keep my mind off how bad I felt. I played a lot of Tetris on my phone.
- Hot showers. In the first week after I had my last dose I would get in the shower about every 2 hours. I basically lived in the shower.
- Yoga. My bones and muscles ached but stretching them out helped.
I hope I helped in some way. You’ve got this, friend.
