2023.03.29 15:11 National_Hornet_5658 How did the Black Death, the great medieval plague of Europe, appear?

The Black Death (Plague)
The Black Death was a major plague that broke out in Europe, claiming tens of millions of lives and once reducing Europe's population by one-third to one-half, making it the worst plague in human history. For the past century, it was widely believed that the Black Death was the glandular plague, caused by the bacterium Mycobacterium plague, a germ spread by rats and fleas.
Occurring in 1348-1451, it was first found on the Mediterranean coast, discovered with Sicily in 1347, and immediately spread throughout North Africa to Italy and Spain, and France. 1349 spread to Austria-Switzerland of Will and Netherland. 1350 spread to Scandinavia and the Baltic coast. 1361-1363 1369-1371 1374- 1375 1400 many more times. On October 1, 1347, 12 Genoese ships, passing through the Black Sea, docked at the port of Messina in Sicily, Italy, with most of the sailors on board dead and the few who were alive in serious condition. From their injuries, it appears that they had the Black Death (or plague). Although the authorities ordered the "death ship" back to sea immediately, the Black Death spread and killed more than 20 million people in Europe, a third of the European population over the next five years.
Italian cities were the first to take responsibility for fighting the Black Death, in accordance with new safety laws and regulations. Venice banned ships suspected of carrying this plague from leaving the city's ports. It also proposed that other arriving ships be quarantined for 30 days (later changed to 40 days) along with their passengers. The bodies of those who died of the Black Death were buried in isolated cemeteries, and the bodies were collected, transported, and buried according to government regulations; the city of Pistoia restricted "imports", "exports", and "tourism "; the city of Milan established an infectious disease hospital outside the city gates for those infected with the Black Death. Black Death symptoms:
One of the symptoms of the Black Death is the appearance of many black spots on the skin of the patient, generalized weakness, confusion and high fever, which is why this particular plague was called the "Black Death". For those infected with the disease, a painful death is almost inevitable and there is no possibility of cure.

Pathogen:

The germ that causes the plague is carried by fleas hidden in the fur of black rats. The fleas on the Indian rat are the transmitters of the deadly plague, or "Black Death".
Identifying the root cause of the Black Death is more than a matter of archaeology. The plague bacterium is still prevalent in the tropics and may have been used as a biological weapon. In 2001, a team from the University of Liverpool in England, after analyzing historical records, said that the agent of the Black Death was probably not the plague bacterium, but a virus that caused haemorrhaging, similar to the Ebola virus.
How did the Black Death disappear during the European pandemic?
The disappearance of the Black Death is a long debated issue among western epidemiologists and historians, and until now there is no definite conclusion.
However, it is usually believed to be related to the organized collective anti-black plague actions of the Western European countries at that time. Among these actions, isolation was the most effective means.
The Black Death refers to the great European plague that lasted from the 13th century until the 17th century and was named for the late stages of the disease when the skin of patients would turn black from bleeding under the skin. It killed close to two-thirds of Europeans in the mid-14th century. It was also during that period that various Western European countries began to take collective measures against the plague. From the earliest days when individual countries were left to their own devices to international cooperation with each other. The most effective of these measures was the severe quarantine system: quarantine of patients, quarantine of villages, quarantine of people traveling to and from the country, and quarantine of goods traveling to and from the country. The quarantine of each country was done with all the strength of the nation, from state institutions to religion to the common people, and eventually, between 1656 and 1721, the Western European countries came out of the shadow of the Black Death one after another.
However, the Western Europeans at that time did not invent a cure for the Black Death, and the cause and transmission channels of the disease were not clear.
In modern times, it is commonly believed that the Black Death was caused by the bubonic plague, a virulent infectious disease spread mainly by the plague bacillus through the rat flea. The Black Death was the collective name for several plague diseases in Europe at the time: bubonic plague, pneumonic plague, and septicemic plague.
Modern science believes that the Black Death virus is largely extinct, but the plague still occurs.

2023.03.29 15:05 inforgraohics Housing is Key

Okay so I applied for this ripe off program. Although I have not been able to yet pay my landlord i am also running out of options. I clearly don’t know whom to contact. I was approved for rental Diane back in April 18th, 2022. I didn’t send in my appeal application until May 5, 2022. Even before I was approved I had already been sending Housing is key for help about when I were would either expect to have a result on my R.R.P application. So after I was approved I called multiple times throughout the year and also emailed their support team about close to an overall of 40 to 50 times. Also some of the emails sent were also to their appeals department. Without much explanation nor any effort in providing me any notifications as to when I would receive payment award from anyone at Housing is Key including my case manager. I won’t say her name just for the sake of privacy. But the craziest thing happened last month when I emailed their appeals department. I was seeking to find out when I would receive an approval or denial try on my appeal submitted since last year. They replied and said, "Your appeals application is still under review and we will get back to you when we have a final result.” So i eventually decided might as well sign into the portal and see if there’s any changes. So then when I logged in the status on the damn application said, “Paid." My whole body shut down because how the heel could this be. For the next following weeks up until this point I don’t know how to get a response from their investigation going on my application from the fraud department. I had to literally call about 20 times until I reached a representative whom coincidentally was able to disclose the checks number and date that it was cashed on. For some reason every other representative wouldn’t disclose anything to me only that my payment has been paid out since last f year on April 20,2022 and that someone was able to cash it out on the 25th, 2022!!!!! Why couldn’t they tell me this all last year? Why can’t they disclose the tracking number that the piece of mail had or was attached to my award check? Why do they want me to report this as fraud to their fraud department with out disclosing any type of information that I should legally be entitled to. I can’t explain how passed off I am because I had to reach out for help to three separate profession individuals before I got a real answer as to where my check is. They said that the check was changed at a chase bank and that someone used my identity to somehow cash this assistance award out. Now they want to say that I should contact chase bank myself but the most messed up part of this situation is that I don’t even own a chase bank account. Now teo days ago I was on the phone and asked the representative whom mailed out these checks. She told me that chase handles the distribution of these assistance awards. If anyone has received payment thus far into this programs queue would you be able to provide me with a picture of how these checks look from the outside of the mailing enclosed envelope in order to provide the USPS with a description of the type of service they used to mail the checks that way they can help me discover any disclosure on the information they have about my missing Mail. I honestly don’t know who else to contact in order to actually help me out? 😓😞😒

2023.03.29 14:56 drachiryu Friendable Identifies New Opportunity Following TikTok CEO's Meeting With US Congress March 23, 2023, Allocating Resources to Complete a TikTok Competitive App or White-Label Offering Leveraging Existing and Proprietary Technologies $FDBL #BreakingNews @jctb1

CAMPBELL, CA, Mar 29, 2023 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE via COMTEX) -- The Company's Fan Pass technology features share many similarities that TikTok offers users/artists and by updating design elements alongside feature tweaks, the Company will be in position to deploy a new app for the Company or white-label for partners seeking to compete.
CAMPBELL, CA, March 29, 2023 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- via NewMediaWire - Friendable Inc. (OTC: FDBL) (the "Company"), a mobile technology, marketing and software services provider, is pleased to announce an additional revenue opportunity and strategy to extend its technology to new mobile applications, web apps or products in general that can be rapidly deployed by leveraging its many years of software development and owned assets.
As TikTok has taken over social media in recent years the app has also come under tremendous scrutiny based on its roots or ownership being derived in China. Following the TikTok CEO's presentation to U.S. Congress on March 23, 2023, which was labeled a disaster by Business Insider last week, Friendable's team has taken a deep dive under the hood of its existing technology ownership as well as the features and functions of its Fan Pass Livestream Platform that was released in 2020 as a music artist centric app, of which TikTok itself boasts many new music artists launched from the social platform.
"Our journey continues with even more knowledge, metrics and technology to build upon and after watching and listening intently to the market successes and failures as of late, the recent meeting between TikTok and U.S. Congress was most interesting as our paths are not too different. Seeing the rise, success and ability to attract users to a platform has amazed just about everyone around the world but following a not-so-good meeting it seems likely TikTok will be banned or sold, which created a real excitement for me and our team because we have understood for quite some time now that our tech, features and functions for Fan Pass are not too far off from becoming a TikTok clone or competitor," said Robert A. Rositano Jr., Friendable, Inc., CEO.
"This said, we believe there needs to be and will be a TikTok competitor and with the recent developments it seems it may come sooner than later. We must leverage our technology, prepare for this opportunity ourselves, or deliver a white-label managed solution for a partner company our team can support, should they be seeking to compete or become the next TikTok. Additionally, the Company has also secured a domain name that fits with another big name in video streaming and would also lend itself to a white-label offering to compete in this market as well, which I will detail in a future press release. In closing I'd like to remind everyone that it is never a straight line to success and although we've been fortunate to have seen many, this journey continues on our road to what I truly believe is more successes just waiting to come to light. The Company will continue to commit resources to our next release of FeaturedX.com, as well as taking care of these artists that have been so patient with the Company following its acquisition of FeaturedX in 2022. Thank you to all the believers, we will never give up," concluded Mr. Rositano.

2023.03.29 14:53 TooLateToPush Feeding question

My puppy is nearing 6 months old and is 50 lbs. His dog food said at 40 lbs to give him 4 cups per day, which we split into 3 meals. He eats it, but not in 1 sitting. Usually he'll leave a half cup until a hour or 2 later and before he finishes. I assume a cup and a half fills him up so he waits until he's hungry again later?
Well now that he's 50 lbs, the food says to bump him to 5 cups. I don't want to under feed him, but I'm not sure he's going to want to eat that much. Should I just give him that amount and let him eat it at his own pace?

2023.03.29 14:46 VeterinarianPure5457 Guilds with Gambel Oaks (Central CO, 8500', Zone 5ish)

Howdy!
Working on some garden designs for Zone 1. This area is partially covered with clusters of gambel oaks. These provide great drip lines, and some of the only organic material on our sloped (15-40%) ground with loamy sand.
I've started berms under drip lines with branches taken for fire mitigation/improved access. We have an abundance of compost nearing completion. Our primary goal this year is to work on improving soil quality, and maybe getting some edibles out of it.
Any recommendations for beginning guilds expanding out from the drip edge of gambel oak clusters? I haven't found any information that the trees have negative/allopathic properties, but my assumption is there are particularities in working with them.
Many thanks!

2023.03.29 14:43 UltimateTraders 3/29/2023 Daily Plays MU pathetic, a sign for tech? Wouldnt short or long but jesus! CALM sells eggs, eggs are like gold! In SYF 28.40 NWBI 12.21 I may buy 1-2 more stocks, wait, maybe open 1-2 calls/puts, no rush earnings in 3 weeks, markets shouldnt be sideways, should be down, heavy!

Good morning everyone. I got back in NWBI 12.21. I got SYF Monday 28.40 after selling 29. I only hold 5-6 stocks from 2023. I have only a handful of stuff from 2022 that I carried over. I am not compelled to do much. I don’t want to load up on stocks because I am 99% sure we head lower. I don’t want to load up on calls or puts because I do not know exactly when we will head lower. I really expected after Powell said no rate cuts, that would have done it, nope! We are near the same levels. At the end of the day, we should be in a stock for its cash flow power, for its ability to bring value to the business, to the stock, or, its ability to give us cash! This means all of this is really noise aside from earnings. Earnings will start coming 3rd week of April. Interest rates factor big time in earnings. The costs of capital for companies rises, as rate rises. Tech companies need to grow, need to invest, so they get hit the most when rates rise. When rates rise the future cash flows of a company decreases
This easily explains why these multiples

Are supposed to drop
I get these questions daily, on what if I am wrong?? DAILY!
How can I be wrong?
You have eyes too!
Are rates higher or lower?
Are rates done or not?
Were rates .125% for close to 3 years?
The current Fed Funds rate is 4.83%
From March 2022 to now March 2023 we have had an increase of 4.7%
You have eyes too?
I made this video February 13th of 2022. This was even before we had 1 rate hike.
I explained in detail what rate hikes do, I used both CVNA and BA as examples
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rfLKQjmj2DA&t=86s
In this video I used a 1% hike example. Well, we had 4.7%!!!
What does that mean?
I am positive earnings will come down
 POSITIVE!
Yes, there is a 1% chance that Apes don’t care and they still bid the market up, and ignore tons more of bad news coming
They ignore that in early May, we will likely have 1 more rate hike
They ignore no rate cuts in 2023

But will they ignore something like MU ???
They might!? MU is up!
Check MU earnings! MU had a sales decline of 54%!!! They earned almost 200% more the same time last year! They went from making near 1 dollar to now losing near 2! That is absolutely horrific!
I wouldn’t buy or short MU.
However, MU is a good forecast on Tech. They make ram for all tech devices. If you see a lot of companies that make the components of phones, EVs, computers miss
Guess what? That means the sector will likely miss and in turn so will AAPL Samsung etc.
I wont short at the moment, maybe 1-2 puts because the market is being ridiculous. I am waiting for a 5% drop in 1 week on the market, or 2 days that are near 3%+ to give me the conviction I need. I don’t control the market, but I can read results, forecast sectors based on my experience
The data is bad! The SP500 at 4,000 or NVDA at 280 doesn’t change the facts that the DATA is bad. All it does is give you the clear sign that the market is still very over bought, speculative and that there are many sectors that need to sell off.
A stock price, at the end of the day, is supposed to reflect, what we as investors can get in return for a company. So if NVDA NFLX META earned 200% more money in 2022 than now, why on earth are the stocks much higher? Get me? Follow? They should not!
A company should be doing CALM ! Man this egg maker, I was trading this about 30, 2 years ago. This company had sales growth of 100% and made 6.62 per share!!! FACTS! We cant expect this to keep going, but you can probably trade it on dips at least several weeks before next earnings. A few weeks ago it dipped to 50 and I was thinking of going long. It has been in “Plays” for a while as egg prices soar
. Same thing as when Oil, Nat gas, Electric went thru the roof in 2022. The stocks of those companies that make, house, store those commodities went thru the roof. In 2023 the prices on these commodities have dumped and the stocks have followed. I knew that Nat Gas should be no where near 10! However, I expected with the War, that Nat gas in the winter would be 4 to 4.50
. This is normal for the Winter the last several years
. Warm weather, Nat Gas at 2.08 a multi year low
Crazy. If I didn’t already have BOIL I would get in, I have 1,000 shares avg near 16 from 2022. I decided in 2023 that I will start using a 33% stop loss.. because of BOIL, actually!
I am in no rush. I don’t want to make trades in this, it is ok to be on the sidelines. I may buy 1-2 more stocks
I may buy 1-2 calls and 1-2 puts, but I am not loading up on anything!
5 Trade ideas:
CALM – Smashed earnings again, surprised it is just 56.40 pre market. Let me watch it and decide, maybe I would get calls after that amazing report
ENPH – It hit a low of 193 yesterday, as the stock falls to 190, it makes calls with 200 strike and time more attractive for me. ENPH made good money, but the stock came off as they warned of 60-70% growth for the future
.. Naturally, a company as it grows isn’t going to keep growing at 100% for years!
So I am impressed with HIMS who isn’t profitable just yet
NFLX – Dipped to 290! Last time it was 330 I had puts and traded it twice. This is a cult stock but the company is not executing!
NWBI SYF – I will try and make 25-50 cents. I am in NWBI 12.21 and SYF 28.40 . These are the companies I prefer to trade in a bad market. Check their earnings, PE ratios, financials
and the stocks have sold off
RAD – This company smashed during covid. This had been a fave. This has dropped near a multi year low. I wouldn’t risk much, last earnings reports were not good. The risk reward isn’t to bad as this falls near 2. I was trading it this time last year 6-8! Earnings in 3 weeks! Speculative but may be worth a small bet! Also, short 25%!

Jan. 3, 2022 ~NioCorp Achieves Positive Results in Metallurgical Testing of Possible Rare Earth Production at its Elk Creek, NE Project~

NioCorp Achieves Positive Results in Metallurgical Testing of Possible Rare Earth Production at its Elk Creek, NE Project - NioCorp Developments Ltd.
CENTENNIAL, Colo. (January 3, 2022) – NioCorp Developments Ltd. (“NioCorp” or the “Company“) (TSX: NB; OTCQX: NIOBF) is pleased to announce positive results from its ongoing metallurgical work regarding the process to extract rare earth elements from ore samples sourced at its Elk Creek Project (the “Project”).
Salt Lake City-based L3 Process Development (“L3”) has been conducting small-scale testing for NioCorp on rare earth recovery and flowsheet improvement and is also building an integrated demonstration plant at its facility in the province of Quebec. To date, L3 has completed several dozen individual tests using portions of a three-tonne representative sample of ore collected from the Elk Creek Project drill core inventory.
Recent efforts by L3 have focused on potential rare earths recovery, including the extraction of rare earth values from the high acidity streams characteristic of those found in the existing Elk Creek niobium/scandium/titanium process flowsheet.
In a recent development, L3 has demonstrated that Scandium can be effectively extracted and separated from the rare earth elements in solution using a phosphate-based extractant. With additional work, this phosphate-based recovery process could be shown capable of replacing the phosphoric acid-based extraction process that is part of the current Project design.
L3 has further demonstrated that the rare earth elements (lanthanum through lutetium, including the magnetic rare earths neodymium, praseodymium, dysprosium, and terbium) can be selectively extracted and separated from the leach solution using an amide-based extractant.

Late January a portion of the Niocorp Team was in Europe

SEARCH- Ford, Volkswagen mulling global self-driving partnership (detroitnews.com)
Feb, 2, 2022~ Jim mention in a response to a board member that they were "In talks with both American & European OEMS"?~ From AO's/IHUB response from Jim on Saturday, 02/05/22 12:50:37 AM:
"If NioCorp elects to proceed with the production of rare earth elements (REEs) as a byproduct of our planned Niobium, Scandium, and Titanium products at the Elk Creek Project, there are several factors that are likely to provide important insulation to market disruptions such as the world experienced when China aggressively increased its REE exports following the WTO ruling in 2015 against China’s then-system of REE export tariffs and quotas.
First of all, commodity price volatility is particularly difficult for producers that rely primarily on the production of one commodity, or set of commodities in the case of REEs, for the bulk of its revenue. This was certainly the case for the Mountain Pass facility, which only produced REE products. In sharp contrast, NioCorp’s production of REEs would be as part of a larger product suite of Niobium, Scandium, Titanium. Such diversity of production provides a high degree of flexibility when any one product suite experiences price volatility. Moreover, any REEs that we produce would be byproducts of our primary target products, and the cost of mining REEs and getting them into solution (in preparation for separation into individual REE oxides) would be considered sunk costs.

Also important in this regard is the fact that there are many more manufacturers today that are actively seeking non-Chinese sources of REE materials. In years past, consumers of REEs made purchase decisions largely based on price. Today’s markets are very different. Governments around the world – particularly in the European Union – are developing REE sourcing policies that will require manufacturers to use greater amounts of non-Chinese REEs. European automotive manufacturers in particular are now more sensitive to the geographic sourcing of the REEs they need. We know this because we are in direct discussions now with companies in that industry in both North America and Europe.

A third factor is the very large increases in forecast demand for REEs, particularly the magnetics, because of their growing use in environmentally preferred technologies such as electrified transportation, high-efficiency motors and pumps, home appliances, power tools, robotics, and many other industries. It is clear to all industry players that the world is going to need more REEs than China alone can produce and export – a lot more. That is why manufacturers of products that require REEs are aggressively seeking new sources of supply, particularly in Western countries.
Finally, China’s high-level REE industrial strategies have evolved over the past decade or so. China is less focused on exporting its separated REE oxides and is much more focused on exporting OEM products that utilize those REE materials. This industrial policy is very logical: by maintaining all stages of the REE value chain in China – REE mining, REE oxide separation, REE metal production, REE magnetic alloy production, REE magnet production, and all of the follow-on steps between the manufacture of REE magnets and the manufacture of OEM products that use those magnets, such as EVs – China is able to leverage its REE industry to provide a much larger number of jobs across this value chain for its citizens. This is also why it is not surprising to see China actively seeking to acquire REE mineral properties around the world today.
In my view, for these and other reasons NioCorp is in an excellent competitive position to do very well if we make the final decision to add magnetic REE oxides to our product portfolio.
I hope this information is helpful.

MAY 18, 2022 ~NioCorp’s Elk Creek Project Confirmed as the Second Largest Indicated-Or-Better Rare Earth Resource in the U.S.~

NioCorp’s Elk Creek Project Confirmed as the Second Largest Indicated-Or-Better Rare Earth Resource in the U.S. - NioCorp Developments Ltd.
Second Largest Indicated-Or-Better Rare Earth Resource in the U.S. ****NOTE: MP MATERIALS CAN ONLY PRODUCE THE LIGHT RARE EARTHS! NIOCORP WILL PRODUCE NIOBIUM, TITANIUM & SCANDIUM IN ADDITION TO VIABLE RARE EARTHS T.B.D. VIA ONGONG DEMONSTRATION OPERATIONS...****
CENTENNIAL, Colo. (May 18, 2022) – An updated feasibility study of NioCorp Developments Ltd.’s (“NioCorp” or the “Company”) (TSX: NB; OTCQX: NIOBF) Elk Creek Project (the “Project”) shows that the Project is the second-largest indicated-or-better rare earth resource in the U.S., second only to MP Materials’ Mountain Pass rare earth deposit.
The Company has completed an updated feasibility study (the “2022 Feasibility Study”) in collaboration with Understood Mineral Resources Ltd., Optimize Group Inc., and Dahrouge Geological Consulting Ltd. Rare earth elements (“REEs”) were evaluated as a potential by-product to the mining of niobium, titanium, and scandium; thus the estimated values of the REEs are reported using the previously determined diluted Net Smelter Return (“NSR”) as derived from the Nb2O5, TiO2, and scandium Mineral Resources. According to the 2022 Feasibility Study, the Elk Creek Project contains an estimated 632.9 kilotonnes (“kt”) of contained total rare earth oxides (“TREO”) in the indicated mineral resource category.[1] According to U.S. Geological Survey data,[2] this places the Elk Creek Mineral Resource behind MP Materials’ Mountain Pass deposit in the U.S. but ahead of all other current rare earth projects in terms of contained TREO from a NI 43-101 rare earth resource of indicated or higher classification.
According to the 2022 Feasibility Study, in addition to relatively high grades of niobium, scandium, and titanium, the Elk Creek Mineral Resource contains various amounts of all REEs. There is potential for NioCorp’s REEs to be mined, crushed, and placed into solution as part of the process NioCorp plans to use to produce its primary niobium, scandium, and titanium products once Project financing is secured. Depending upon the outcome of metallurgical testing on REE recovery rates from Elk Creek ore, now being conducted at a demonstration plant in Quebec, and whether necessary Project financing is secured, NioCorp could produce separated rare earths as a byproduct, placing it at a competitive advantage vis-à-vis other rare earth projects.
A new technical report on the Elk Creek Project summarizing the results of the 2022 Feasibility Study will be prepared by Dahrouge Geological Consulting Ltd. and Optimize Group Inc. in accordance with NI 43-101. The technical report will include details regarding the updated Mineral Resource and Mineral Reserve estimates presented herein, which are derived from the 2022 Feasibility Study, and will be filed on SEDAR (www.sedar.com) within 45 days of this news release.

Please see Jim's responses to questions posed for comment-3/17/2022.~A) Could you comment on what the production of higher purity Niobium & Titanium could be utilized for once realized?

"If the higher purity niobium and titanium intermediates that L3 was able to produce at bench-scale are replicated and proven at demonstration scale, this would put us in a position to more easily move to other products beyond those outlined in our 2019 Feasibility Study. Niobium oxide for use in Li-Ion batteries is one possible example, although the production of that product would require additional processing steps beyond the higher-purity niobium intermediate that we discussed in last week’s news release. The company is not yet in a position to make a determination on whether or not, and when, to possibly expand our Niobium product offering. Higher grade TiO2 could expose us to additional markets where higher margins could be obtained. But, again, we are not in a position to speak to those possibilities in any detail yet. "

~ B) Niocorp’s preferred separation method is SX. Are these higher purity processes part of an improved SX process or “something else”?

"No, the processes we recently discussed occur in the earlier stages of the flowsheet, prior to any SX processing. We look forward to unveiling those details once these processes are verified at the demonstration plant level and once all associated work needed to complete an updated Feasibility Study is completed. "

JUNE 6, 2022 ~Process Enhancements to NioCorp’s Critical Minerals Project Plans Point to Possible CAPEX and OPEX Reductions and Possible Lower Greenhouse Gas Emissions~

Process Enhancements to NioCorp’s Critical Minerals Project Plans Point to Possible CAPEX and OPEX Reductions and Possible Lower Greenhouse Gas Emissions - NioCorp Developments Ltd.
CENTENNIAL, Colo. (June 6, 2022) – Metallurgical testing being conducted now by NioCorp Developments Ltd. (“NioCorp” or the “Company“) (TSX: NB; OTCQX: NIOBF) in Quebec, Canada, is intended to quantify the Company’s ability to extract rare earth elements (“REEs”) from Elk Creek ore. It is also aimed at testing a carbonation process that can be used to recycle key reagents used in the removal of calcium and magnesium carbonates from the Elk Creek ore ahead of operations that are expected to extract and recover niobium, scandium, titanium, and rare earths once project financing is secured.
If proven successful at the demonstration plant scale, these process improvements have the potential to reduce projected Project operating costs (“OPEX”) and capital expenditures (“CAPEX”) as compared to estimates in the Project’s May 2022 feasibility study (reported here), as well as to lower the Project’s anticipated production of greenhouse gas (“GHG”) emissions as compared to projections in the May 2022 feasibility study. These process improvements also could allow the Company to produce calcium and magnesium materials at purity levels that may be sold as commercial products; however, further analysis and testing is required to determine whether there are reasonable prospects for economic extraction for calcium and magnesium before they could be included in the Elk Creek Mineral Resource.

AUGUST 3rd, 2022~ PRIOR TO BILL PASSING JIM WAS ASKED: 8/3/2022 :

Jim- Could you offer comment on how this may affect the Elk Creek Mine moving forward?)

117th Cong., 1st Sess. H. R. 5376 https://www.congress.gov/bill/117th-congress/house-bill/5376 https://www.energy.senate.gov/services/files/44ADD84F-9840-4B24-9BE9-DFCF353ABF2B Response:
"The Senate Democrats’ “Inflation Reduction Act of 2022” legislation does indeed include several provisions that may be helpful to the Elk Creek Project. These include both production tax credits that would apply to all the critical minerals that we intend to produce, additional funding for the DPA Title III program aimed at supporting critical minerals production, and additional lending authority for the Title XVII program at DOE. If these provisions survive the amendment processes in the Senate and House, the Byrd Rule in the Senate, and can be passed by both Houses of Congress and is signed into law, it could have multiple positive impacts to the Project.
The bill text, as is presently available publicly, is attached. This bill will undoubtedly change when the Senate takes up the reconciliation process, as reconciliation does not limit amendments. There will be many amendments offered by both sides. Some of the bill’s provisions may not survive challenges on the Senate floor under what we call the “Byrd Rule.” Additionally, implementing regulations must be written by agencies of jurisdiction following the bill’s enactment into law to determine many of the details of various programs and funding initiatives. As always with government programs and processes, little happens quickly.

Apart from this bill’s proposed provisions, WE HAVE BEEN WORKING WITH SEVERAL FEDERAL AGENCIES REGARDING POTENITAL ASSISTANCE TO THE ELK CREEK PROJECT, but those agencies do not allow us to disclose any details of those processes.

All the best,Jim "

Golden Opportunity
The ‘Must-Own’ Company of The Year
That’s why our #1 stock to own in 2023 is Element79 Gold Corp. (CSE:ELEM), a junior miner sitting atop one of the largest land packages in Nevada18 smack dab in the middle of the largest gold complex in the world.19
In today’s market, it’s more important than ever to have a firm foundation of solid research. That’s why when we conducted our due diligence

and discovered senior management hailing from Barrick Gold, Eldorado Gold, and Skeena Resources

including assets surrounded by some of the biggest gold mines in the world

on the verge of near-term cash-flow and operating multiple production-stage facilities

and yet trading at valuations a mere fraction of its neighbors

we realized how big of a story we had uncovered with Element79 Gold (CSE:ELEM) and why it’s the perfect play in the new inflation age.
Location, Location, Location
Prime Locations in the World’s Top Mining Destinations
Any single property can make an entire company’s legacy. Now consider Element79 Gold (CSE:ELEM), in the short time since its IPO, has already acquired a staggering 17+ properties in prime locations across the world’s top mining jurisdictions.
Their newest Nevada asset includes 18,000 hectares—literally one of the largest land packages in Nevada,79 smack-dab in the middle of the gold region where Barrick and Newmont are operating a joint venture.106
ELEM’s properties stand out in the world’s #1 gold district.
Perhaps more astounding is their Lucero mine which remains one of the highest-grade underground mines in Peru’s history at grades averaging 19.0 g/t Au Equivalent (“Au Eq”) (14.0 g/t gold and 373 g/t silver), and their Machacala Project which averaged production grades of 10.5 g/t Au Eq (6.0 g/t gold and 340 g/t silver). Recent sampling at Lucero returned up to 116.8 g/t Au Eq (78.7g/t Au and 2,856 g/t Ag), truly astounding numbers in today’s age. It’s hard to believe these properties are wrapped within a small unknown company trading at these current prices, but that’s the value of finding these situations before the crowd.
One need look no further than the words of their CEO, stating in plain terms, “the acquisition of these high-grade Peruvian gold assets offers Element79 Gold (CSE:ELEM) the opportunity to harness new avenues for near-term cash-flow and take an accelerated path toward potentially operating multiple production-stage facilities,” commented James Tworek, President and CEO of Element79 Gold(CSE:ELEM).
Unknown to most is that Peru has mining-friendly legislation that allows up to 350 tpd production. Once that target is achieved, targeted for the coming 12-24 months, additional production licenses can be obtained to expand production. Element79 Gold (CSE:ELEM) has stated that it intends to pursue the opportunities aggressively, and that could spell significant cash-flow for investors.

Drilling was initiated to test highly ranked target concepts as well as establish a geological framework in priority areas lacking drill information. Looking forward, the Carlin Trend will become the most active exploration area in Barrick’s portfolio.“*117
