2023.02.13 04:22 beej1254 Please help me develop a DAILY workout routine
Hear me out please, but I would like to develop a daily workout routine that I can complete in about 30 to 45 minutes. I am a single dad, 34, 5' 5" and about 175 lbs. I would like to FINALLY be able to add a daily workout to my life, one that I can honestly just mindlessly complete every day. I am extremely busy throughout the day, but I don't want this to stop me from working toward my goal of building muscle (and eventually making diet improvements and losing weight).
Here is a glimpse of my weekly schedule to give you an idea of where I'm at.
I work 3 jobs, one of which is my own business that I run from home. For my main career I wake up at 5:30 am Monday - Friday and must leave for work by 6:30. It can take about 45 minutes to 1 hour to get to work, and I have to arrive at 7:30. I will then work until 4:30 pm and have to drive home. I do have 1 hour for lunch, which I am going to use to walk around the campus to get myself moving and get some cardio. I've actually already started doing this walking. When I get home, I either have my kids, and they are still too young to go to the gym with me (have to be 13), if I don't have my kids then I am working my second job. Some days I'm gone from 6:30 am to 10:30 pm. Then I work my 3rd job after I get home (or when the kids are asleep), where I fulfill orders or work on my website. I typically only sleep about 4 - 5 hours per day. Yes, I know this is terrible, but I've never been much of a sleeper. I have begun to make small improvements to my diet. I am meal prepping and sticking to better portion sizes and drinking more water. I've also not consumed alcohol in over a month. I don't smoke.
Anyway, I do have a Marcy-MWM 988 home gym, an ez-curl bar, a pull up bar, two dumbbells, and about 70 lb of weights for the dumbbells/ez-curl bar. I know I have the equipment to workout at home, and if not I do have a gym membership, but I can't ever find the time to go.
I just want a DAILY routine, one that NEVER CHANGES, that I can mindlessly complete every. single. day. It will have to fit into my life like this for right now until I can finally quit working 3 jobs. I want to workout everyday because I need to burn it into my already established routines. Even if it means going lighter for some of the days. The way I see it, anything has to be better than me not working out.
Can anyone help put together a daily routine that I can do with the equipment I have?
One special note: I have spina bifida and I cannot use my left foot or basically any muscle below my left knee. So I cannot do anything that requires my left foot to point, or to stand on my toes, or whatever. When I workout my legs I tend to do isometric workouts with the machine.
Thanks for your help.

2023.02.03 08:17 Justaguyhilol Lifting injuries. Tennis elbow and wearing rotator cuff?
Hey guys, figured I'd shoot my shot here....
I've been exercising with a weight machine (Marcy MWM 980, if we're getting really detailed) and an EZ curl bar with the screw on "weight stops". The bar itself is like 15lbs. or so...
Anyhow, as I've progressed and plodded along I've noticed a few problems have come up and keep reappearing.
- When performing standing curls using the EZ bar, during the lift I used to have sharp forearm pain for a second or a few after putting down the bar and letting go. Right forearm. With my arms stretched out in front of me, palms down, it would be the external side of my forearm that hurts, though the pain somewhat "rotates". I've read this could be tennis elbow.
It's killed my lifting potential as far as biceps go.
- My shoulders, particularly the right, have a kind of popping, "click grind" feel to them. It isn't bad, but I've read this may be tendon wear and tear, or even rotator cuff issues. I can raise my arms above my head fine, do a full circle, all of that, it's just a new feeling I'd like to get ahead of. I've cut out lateral raises and started doing dumbbell shoulder presses instead. I've heard laterals really screw with your shoulders.
- Pain behind the shoulder blade. Muscle pain. It feels like something needs to pop, in a way, or be stretched, but no matter what it remains. Again, right side.
- When doing chest press on the machine, I've noticed at times I will get a somewhat sharp pain running along the median of my shoulder. Impingement perhaps?
So, there it is. A lot of this stuff favors the right side in an unfortunate way, and I'll note that a couple years ago I was in a wreck. T-boned a guy that ran a red light and slammed into him at 55mph. Seat belt didn't lock up so I slammed my head into the dash, had a concussion, and I wouldn't doubt if I've developed some neck and back issues due to that. My neck in general does feel tight, and I'll get occasional minor sharp pains going down into my right trap.
Sorry for the novel of a post, I'm just trying to be detailed here.

2022.12.19 05:37 SanderSo47 CinemaScore Analysis – 2003 Edition
Link to the other editions: 1980s: 1986 1987 1988 1989 1990s: 1990 1991 1992 1993 1994 1995 1996 1997 1998 1999 2000s: 2000 2001 2002 2003 2004 2005 2006 2007 2008 2009 2010s: 2010 2011 2012 2013 2014 2015 2016 2017 2018 2019 2020s: 2020 2021 In this post, I kept track of every 2003 movie's CinemaScore (at least, the ones that got it). I plan to post for each subsequent year until 2022, one year per weekend. My intention is to see the evolution of each year and how the grades can either help or damage a movie's legs.
I plan to delve into each year and each movie that got a grade. While CinemaScore was founded in 1979, we didn't get a grade until 1982 and we didn't get full information until 1986.
Before starting, some notes:
- This list is based on multipliers/legs. In this case, domestic total/domestic opening weekend = multiplielegs.
- If a movie opens on Saturday or Sunday (like on Christmas Day), I will use its first full weekend (Friday through Sunday).
- The opening weekend is based on its first wide release (600+ theaters).
- If a movie never makes it past 600 theaters, then its biggest weekend number will be used.
- The figures are all taken from The Numbers and Box Office Mojo.
In 2003, 130 movies received CinemaScores (2002 had 144). How did it go?
A+
2 movies (1.53%) managed to get the rare A+. Generally, this indicates exceptional word of mouth and guarantees a long and healthy run. Of course, the bigger a movie opens, the weaker legs will turn out to be. These movies averaged a 5.31x multiplier. In comparison, 2002 had 3 movies with a 4.33x average multiplier.
Note:
Finding Nemo's numbers included a re-release in 2012, which added $39 million to its total. If we exclude them and get its original $339,714,978, it has a 4.83x multiplier.

A
14 movies (10.76%) managed to get the grade. A step down from the rare A+, but it still indicates strong word of mouth. These movies averaged a 3.86x multiplier. In comparison, 2002 had 16 movies with a 4.29x average multiplier.

B+
33 movies (25.38%) managed to get the grade. This is where things get interesting. Generally, it indicates average word of mouth. The audience didn't love it, but didn't hate it. For some niche movies, this should be a fine score. But for IP-driven movies, this should be concerning as fans are more biased to the movie itself. These movies averaged a 3.62x multiplier. In comparison, 2002 had 27 movies with a 3.29x average multiplier.

20 movies (15.38%) managed to get the grade. Another step down, which indicates word of mouth to be below average or middling. It could still hold on pretty well, but it's not guaranteed. These movies averaged a 3.07x multiplier. In comparison, 2002 had 27 movies with a 3.19x average multiplier.

2022.09.25 01:30 jjballer4life Need some advice marcy home gym edition
Hi everyone,
Just needed some advice. I have a marcy 988 home gym set which I bought in the middle of Covid. I had to move recently and took apart the gym set so I could fit it in my van. I’ve been looking everywhere and seems like I unfortunately lost the box filled with all the nuts/bolts/screws (but still have all the actual parts for the machine). I went on Marcy’s website looking for replacement parts but they only have replacements for the cords, cables, and larger things which I already have. Any advice on where I can buy just the nuts, bolts, and screws? Thank you!

So I'm a 6'2 166lb 15 year old guy looking to start gaining some muscle (I am not that athletically inclined). However, I have a few problems/questions that I don't understand. The only piece of equipment I have access to is a "Marcy Home Gym MWM-990" and I don't have access to any local gym for the next few months. I started using a home workout app that has a full body 7x4 challenge that I started a few days ago since I'm not even sure where to start on the Marcy home gym. My big concerns are should I finish this 7x4 challenge and then move onto the Marcy home gym or should I ditch the 7x4 and go straight to the machine? The other problem I see myself running into is how do I even make a plan once I use the equipment I have/start going to the gym? I guess I don't really know where to even start when making a plan like this, so if someone could point me in the right direction I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

2022.07.22 14:17 AnjohT Recommendations on a home gym machine to buy? First time buyer
Hello, I want to buy a home gym but don’t know where to start or what is quality or not. Is there anything you recommend? Any brands to avoid? I’m looking at Marcy 150 lbs weight stack machine MWM-988 currently as it does a lot and it also relatively cheap at around $600. I am willing to go more expensive for good machines. Also if you’re aware of any deals or discounts let me know please. Thank you for your time.

2021.08.31 00:21 sneack47 Workout routine
Does anyone know any good workout programs I could run I've been lifting for about a year now and have most ly stuck with ppl but I recently thought about switching to a power building routine. The only problem though is I work out in my home gym. I have a bench, dumbells, deadlift bar, ex curl bar and a marcy mwm-986 but no squat rack and almost all the routines I could find include barbell squat. I could always just switch it up a bit but I'm just curious if anyone has any suggestions?

Hey, guys so I am looking at home gym items and I found this item that is found from a local store. I kind of feel like it's overpriced but I am not sure. Can you guys tell me about whether this is a reasonable price or not for a Marcy Cage/ Rack (MWM-7041). Keep in mind I am in Canada and not the States. After taxes and shipping the total is $1015... that kind of seems a little bit unreasonable to me but I want to ask the home gym experts. What do y'all think?

2020.03.27 02:21 Gymhelpplease I have a Marcy home gym and I’m looking for advice on what routine or plan to use? I’ve spent more time looking for one than using it and so I need help picking a definitive one, please.
Hi guys,
I have a Marcy home gym (
https://www.marcypro.com/marcy-150-lb-stack-home-gym-mwm-990)
I also have dumbbells and push-up handle bars, 21 years old.
I bought it last year to lose the final 20 pounds or so to finally lose the extra fat I have. I’m not super overweight but I have love handles and I’d love to have a leaner body, especially stomach.
I tried using a few different workouts - one my brother suggested, another I found in the internet. I just don’t know what one to use. I have spent more time looking on YouTube for a good workout than actually using it.
My goal is weight loss - is lower reps or higher reps better?
I want to do 5x a week. I’ve always done push-pull-legs so I’d like to continue with that.
I feel very fortunate to have a home gym while in quarantine and I’d love to come out of this quarantine in a few months time having lost 20lbs so any advice you can offer is very appreciated. Thankyou.

2019.11.28 23:44 hamsumwich I've got a Marcy home gym. Can I get help with a weight lifting plan to lose fat and get fit?
Title says it all. For addtional context, I'm a male in my forties that hasn't been active like I used to be a few years ago. Due to some recent health issues, I'm making changes in my life. Among them is a desire to get back into regular exercise. Doing so now is as if I'm starting over with a weak and maliable body. Help me get from dad bod to rad bod!
We've got a Marcy MWM-6150 at home that can perform the following exercises:
- Chest and Tricep
- Seated bench press
- Pectoral fly
- Tricep push-down
- Back and Bicep
- Wide lat pull-down
- Seated row
- Standing bicep curl
- Abs and Buns
- High pulley ab crunch
- Oblique side bend
- Leg curl
- Legs and Hips
- Outer leg kick
- Leg kick back
- Inner thigh leg cross
Any advice on a three times a week routine would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance. :)

2019.06.10 17:50 TheMindsGutter [NA] Completely updated the CinemaScore discussion!
What is CinemaScore and how are the ratings determined? It is a Las Vegas research firm that surveys audiences from different cities about their viewing experience off of a
paper given by CinemaScore employees themselves. There are 25 cities all across the North American region where these surveys are handed out, but only 5 are chosen to actually implement their data from each week for each new wide release.
For this set of data, I have compiled 3,177 films that have attained a CinemaScore. I will go through each score and determine the best and worst performances of a film that has received that score. Let's begin.
A+
The almighty score that is worn as a badge of honor. A relatively difficult score to achieve as we look at 69 films since its lifetime.
Of every film that has reached this score, 40/69, or 57.9% have reached $100 million domestic with 62/69, or 89.85% having multipliers higher than 3x. The average multiplier stands at a 6.27.

We have chipped a little bit from the coveted A+ score, but it appears that getting an A is something to be praised for as the lowest multipliers feature films that are some of the most frontloaded films ever. Tyler Perry and concert films always have this issue and A Monster Calls had some of the worst marketing and theatrical releases I've seen.
