Is there a definitive answer on when do towns refresh their items?
2023.06.10 18:55 cmz_neu Is there a definitive answer on when do towns refresh their items?
In my experience it's not like the wiki says, like i think when completing the kings maze only refreshes the towns on the second continent(hasta, etc). I'm playing the main fortheking in journeyman, just got into the air balloon, but no new gods beard or inventory, i waited a round thinking maybe when the the new round begins(round not day) it refreshes but still nothing. I just want a clear answer! honestly the timeline should have a refresh town icon so you can see it coming and plan accordingly. maybe i did it too fast or something, i know some people claim to have a bug when one refresh does not occur and they can get endgame gear but it just seems so weird there would be such a mayor bug on a game mechanic that is so simple and important in the game.

2023.06.10 18:53 Miserable-Ad4968 Ultimate Sun Team
BestBuildz is my name, decided to make an ultimate sun team, it's a start but i think it's getting somewhere..
A lot of people get Monotype and Weather Teams confused, a monotype is when you're using the same typing consistently while a weather team is when you're using a main typing, but also using other mons that benefit off said weather. This is my Ultimate Sun Team (Scoll down to the bottom there's more :>)
Koraidon @ Heat Rock Ability: Orichalcum Pulse Tera Type: Dragon EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe Jolly Nature - Collision Course - Dragon Tail - Heavy Slam - U-turn
Lilligant-Hisui @ Focus Sash Ability: Chlorophyll Tera Type: Poison EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe Adamant Nature - Solar Blade - Close Combat - Ice Spinner - Victory Dance
Torkoal @ White Herb Ability: Drought Tera Type: Fire EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 Spe Timid Nature - Eruption - Earth Power - Rapid Spin - Shell Smash
Cinderace @ Life Orb Ability: Libero Tera Type: Fire EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe Adamant Nature - Pyro Ball - High Jump Kick - Gunk Shot - Court Change
Walking Wake @ Choice Specs Ability: Protosynthesis Tera Type: Water EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe Timid Nature - Hydro Steam - Draco Meteor - Flamethrower - Dragon Tail
Typhlosion-Hisui @ Choice Scarf Ability: Blaze Tera Type: Fire EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe Modest Nature IVs: 0 Atk - Eruption - Shadow Ball - Extrasensory - Solar Beam
I used Koraidon w/ Heat Rock, it's the single best sun setter in the game and it's stats are so good i didn't see the need to run anything else, along with it's ability Orichalcum Pulse which boosts it's Attack by 1.3× in sun, bros is just a beast
There was NOOO WAY i was passing up Chlorophyll Lilligant-Hisui, it's honestly the glue for the whole team, in sun it gets 210 base speed, making it faster then Regiekei, the fastest mon in the game, this meant i could invest it into full on attack, one Victory Dance and you're looking at probably the most broken mon in the game, put teratilize poison it because there's too many weaknesses, im gonna switch it to electric though
Torkoal!! Everyone's favorite sun turtle, needed a 2nd sun setter ofc and Torkoal was really the only one, usual white herb build u know the deal, i only invested into speed because i wanted to get the most out of the speed boost from SS, mainly a sack though tbh
Noticed a lot of my team was weak to Fairy, so i got Gunk Shot Cinderace to patch that up, although i was thinking Silazzle but Court Change is broken so🤷♂️
Walking Wake is the underdog of the team, because of it's watedragon typing it's practically an iron wall that hits, super hard, choice specs to get the most of its SpA and Hydro Steam
And last Typhlosion-Hisui, great Eruption scarfer and that's rlly it😭

2023.06.10 18:51 RegThrowAwayGuy12 35 [M4F] [South GA] - Virgin for First Experiences!
In Southeast Georgia but willing and able to travel and host around Georgia, Florida and South Carolina!
I’m open for my first time and we don’t have to jump right to sex! I’m interested in oral, giving & receiving. I definitely want to learn to please you!
I’m open to who I’m looking for and being comfortable with the person is as important as physical traits.
I’d like to chat a bit first before just trying to meet! Please don’t just open with Hey, Hello, or Hi! Tell me a bit about you: age, general location, why you decided to reply to my post or what you’re looking for!
I don’t have a preference on if you’re a virgin or not. I’m willing to learn or we can experiment and figure it out together if it’s your first time as well!
This can be a one time thing or maybe more than one meet. Whatever you’re comfortable with. Making a FWB I could experiment and try new things with would be great! I’m not looking for a relationship, so you don’t have to worry about me pressing for that!
I’m a short single white guy with short brown hair, blue eyes, fair skin, a beard and husky build. About 5’4” and 155 lbs. I recently started working out again and eating better. Overall I’d say I’m an average looking guy.
I’m pretty shy, quite, and introverted, especially when meeting new people. Once I’m comfortable I tend to open up. I’m laid back and easy to get along with. Other than being a virgin at 35 I’m a pretty normal guy.
I have good hygiene and am DDF!
I’d like to chat a bit so we can get comfortable with each other and make sure neither is a serial killer. Looking in and around GA, FL, and SC. Willing and able to travel and host!

BIOGRAPHY We run in the night For life, for death, for the Gods Wulfgor was born during a storm, amid the glacial cold and heavy snowfall.
He was the son of a Nightrunner among the less fortunate and valiant in his village, who had managed to gain a wife after years and years of night runs.
Nevertheless, Wulfgor survived and grew up admiring and respecting the fastest and most tireless runners.
He ran in broken and ruined shoes, quickly worn out by the rough terrain he explored daily.
Running for the Gods He was taught the way of his people, and Wulfgor diligently and inflexibly learned the dictates and mysteries of the Nightrunners.
He learned that by day one had to walk, one had to be strong and sure in the light; but as soon as dusk came one had to run, take with the spear what was necessary, and run away.
The demons of the night were dangerous, and those who did not run were caught.
These legends remained imprinted like fire in the mind of Wulfgor, who from that moment decided that he would become the best among his people.
His trust in the Old Gods was deep, and the first reason he ran was for them.
Running for Death Years went by, and on turning 18 Wulfgor managed to win his first wife, who by tradition was left to the most powerful warrior.
Immediately she bore him a son, who was named Brogg in honor of the Chieftain who instructed Wulfgor and commanded the night runs.
He ran even faster than the others, and before long the number of wives and children increased.
A turning point in his life was the War of Ice and Fire, in which Chieftain Brogg was killed.
Taking up the axe of his late mentor, he faced in a duel a man who was standing out as one of the most powerful in the battle, Jeor Forrester.
Wulfgor managed to wound that Black Crow's eye, but they were interrupted before the fight was over.
Since that day he has held tightly in his heart the desire to face him again, to have a definite ending.
Wulfgor ran again for many years, carrying his axe and raids against all the peoples of the Free Folk.
His power was unstoppable, the second reason to run was death.
Running for Life Wulfgor quickly became the new Chieftain, continuing his usual life and instructing his sons in the way of the Nightrunners.
In time he came to forget even their number, along with details of his past life.
His mind began to be less clear, and his bursting strength became less fulminant.
His daughter Seryn began to help him because of her formidable memory, standing by his side and learning to lead the Nightrunners' raids along with him.
Quickly his children grew in age, and many of them distinguished themselves by their prodigious abilities.
Holly for her healing talents, Brogg for his strength, Arrow with the bow, Dan for his charisma, Lancia for her accuracy and agility with the spear, Robb for his hand speed, and Yogg...
He loved even Yogg, although he was unable to do anything.
The last of his wives was Yarsa, who gave birth to the last of his children recently.
Wulfgor is now a different man, running for his people and his family to keep everyone safe.
The last reason he ran was for life.
TIMELINE 144 AC - Wulfgor is born, only son of Vekkon
150 AC - He starts running in impervious places, wearing out all his shoes and hurting himself several times
152/162 - Chieftain Brogg teaches him the way of the Nightrunners, preparing him to become his successor
165 - The War of Ice and Fire, Wulfgor obtains his mighty two-handed axe and maims Jeor Forrester in combat
167 - Wulfgor becomes the Chieftain of the Nightrunners and he continues fathering a new generation of strong sons
173/185 - Twelve years of night runs increase his prestige and combat experience, but cause the resentment of the majority of the people beyond the Wall
190 - Wulfgor begins to forget details of his life, such as the names of his sons or wives; the only memories that do not slowly disappear are those related to his night runs and the war
195 - Seryn begins to stand by his side, helping him remember details of his life
200 - His newest daughter is born, and he vows on the memory of his missing children to fight against the ice demons
NPCS First son of Wulfgor, strong and authoritative.
He is most loyal to his father and follows religiously whatever Wulgor says; the loss of his mother during his childhood is a wound he has not been able to overcome
Endowed with the finest intelligence and a memory bordering on perfection, Seryn has earned Wulfgor's trust and respect over time.
She has a bitter rivalry with Brogg, who is convinced that she manipulates her father by deceiving him and creating false memories in him.
A pure and unspoiled soul, she loves nature and helping others with all her heart.
With her herbs and knowledge she is a key figure within her people, healing the wounded and assisting women about to give birth.
Fire-red hair and a devilish mind, the uncontrollable daughter of Wulfgor prides herself on being the best with the bow.
Her words are venomous and she is convinced that being Wulfgor's daughter makes her worthy of unconditional admiration
Soft eyes and warm words, Dan has always been able to convince minds with impressive ease.
Along with Brogg, he is one of the leading candidates to be his father's successor, although he prefers freedom to the narrow responsibilities of his path.
"Should I be afraid of her?"
person naively walking toward his death Lancia's prowess with any kind of weapon is uncanny, despite her inoffensive appearance her brothers quickly learned to fear and respect her.
She is the newest addition to their army, and a threat on the battlefield
Treacherous and untrustworthy, Robb is easily corruptible and despised by his brothers.
His plundering skills have often been useful, but he is always watched closely because of his treachery-prone nature.

2023.06.10 18:32 HelpfulPresence9922 NEED Advice on how to shave (I changed my exfoliants and now I’m at a crossroads) meep
So most of you might know that exfoliating right before shaving is a must, to prevent ingrown hairs and for a better cleaner finish The problem with that is I used to use a chemical exfoliant peel (the ordinary’s AHA BHA peel) I don’t live in the states and it’s annoying having to order it because it’s such an integral part of my skin care
In my country they do however sell the La Roche-Posay Effaclar salicylic acid serum
My dilema now is, I would wash the peel off and then immediately shave, but this is a serum that’s meant to be left on, so do I just not shave? I don’t want to irritate my skin and I don’t want to risk ingrown hairs (all of this is in reference to my beard and chin area, it doesn’t grow full enough to keep and I rather just shave it every three days to keep it clean) Need help please or recommendations for much gentler physical exfoliants (just to scrape off the dead skin cells in that area) for the days I will be shaving
Below my current routine with the serum
Morning:
Cleanser LRP: Effaclar Gel Facial Wash
Moisturizer Eucerin: DermoPurifyer Adjunctive Soothing Cream
Barrier repairer LPR: Cicaplast B5 in gel form (the Baum is to heavy on my skin)
Sunscreen: Eucerin: Sun gel-cream oil control
Nighttime
LRP: Effaclar Gel Facial Wash
Serum (only every other two days) LRP: Effaclar salycilic acid Serum
Retinoid (on nights where I don’t exfoliate) Differin: Adapalene gel
Moisturizer Eucerin: DermoPurifyer Adjunctive Soothing Cream
Barrier repairer LPR: Cicaplast B5 in gel form (the Baum is to heavy on my skin)
P.S. these are the big name brands that exist in my country as of now Eucerin, La Roche-Posay, CeraVe, Neutrogena, Avene… from what I can remember (I do not react well with CeraVe, it occludes my pores and causes massive breakouts)

2023.06.10 18:26 AdditionalPair8 Cartoon Idea: X-Men: The Next Mutation
Note: This is gonna be a very long post, so brace yourselves As most of you know by now,
X-Men '97 will be coming out on Disney Plus this Fall.
This series will be a pretty big deal since it'll mark the X-Men's very first major animated appearance in over a decade!
During the 2010s, due to the rising success of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, 20th Century Fox still owning the FILM rights to the X-Men, and Ike "Fuck You" Perlmutter, Marvel basically resorted to pretending the X-Men didn't even exist, removing them from potential media they would be allowed to appear in.
Cartoons, merchandising, and perhaps one of the most egregious, video games.....
Chances are most of you are familiar with
Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite.
And you're probably all aware that one of the biggest criticisms towards that game was the vetoing of any X-Men representation.
And not helping was the frankly idiotic responses given to this valid criticism.
Which, let's be real, the people from Capcom only really said half of that shit since they were most likely being held at gunpoint by an executive from Marvel, who in turn was being held at gunpoint by Perlmutter.
And after the game's release, people from Capcom came out to say how much the production of the game was absolute nightmare due to Marvel's bullshit.
And with that being said, the license for MvC will mostly likely never be renewed since after all the bullshit Marvel pulled on them, Capcom wouldn't want to work with them ever again.
But enough about that....
While it is great that the X-Men are finally returning to television after spending nearly 15 years without a major animated appearance, it is a little disappointing that it's being done through a revival of an already existing series.
I'm guessing that Marvel decided to have the X-Men's grand return to animation to be something a little familiar, so when it's time for a new X-Men cartoon that's a bit different from before, it wouldn't be too overwhelming for some.
But when that time does come, I have what I think would a cool idea for a new X-Men cartoon.
The cartoon would be titled
X-Men: The Next Mutation!
Essentially the main draw of this series would be turning the characters of the Marvel Universe into powerful badasses right out of a shonen manga/anime.
And I figured the X-Men would be the perfect characters to explore that concept with.
Becuase the reason they're more powerful in this universe, apart from years of rigorous physical training, are secondary mutations.
Yeah in the universe of this series, secondary mutations are much more common among mutants, often happening early adulthood.
Tertiary mutations also exist, but they're pretty rare.
As for the X-Men themselves, the series would feature the biggest roster by far.
It would consist of Cyclops, Psyche (Jean Grey), Wolverine, Storm, Colossus, Shadowcat, Lockheed, Rogue, Iceman, Nightcrawler, Angel, Thunderbird, Beast, Sunfire, Banshee, Dazzler, The Diamond Queen (Emma Frost), Gambit and Psylocke.
There are some notable changes with some of the members of the team.
-Angel will be female by the name of Wren Worthington
-Nightcrawler's last name will be changed from Wagner to Darkhölme, since in this universe, he's the biological son of Mystique and Destiny
(Bonus points for anyone who gets that reference)
-Nightcrawler and Rogue grew up together
-Sunfire and Psylocke's back-stories are much different than they were in the original comics. Sunfire, who while still Japanese, spent most of his life in San Fransokyo, being raised by the Silver Samurai, who in this universe is his uncle rather than his cousin. Sunfire was also a member of the Hand until he met the X-Men and saw the error of his ways. As for Psylocke, she was a Japanese baby raised by the Braddocks, who in this universe are a family of English adventurers. You're probably wondering why I changed their back-stories. In the case of Sunfire, I felt like his original backstory is pretty problematic, at least in my opinion. I mean, it literally had to do with the bombing of Hiroshima. And when you take into consideration that he was created back in the late 1960s, you can't help but go a bit "yeesh" about it. As for Psylocke, I'm sure most of you are familiar with the whole body-swapping mess. Yeah....that shit has been banished to the Shadow Realm. I felt like this new backstory I came with would be a perfect way to still keep the appearance that most people associate with, while still keeping her British.
-I'm still debating on this one, but either Colossus or Gambit will be gender-swapped as well. Essentially, it would be either a female Colossus and a still-male Gambit, or a still-male Colossus and a female Gambit. The reason for that I'm about to touch on next.
In terms of romantic relationships.....
-Cyclops, Jean and Wolverine will be in a polyamorous marriage
-Storm will be dating Thor
-Colossus and Shadowcat will be dating (with a much shorter age difference this time)
-Rogue and Gambit will be sort-of dating
-Iceman will be dating The Human Torch
-Nightcrawler and Angel will be dating
-Beast and Emma will be dating.
-Dazzler and Sunfire will be dating
-Banshee will have a thing for Moria MacTaggert
So yeah, if you considered that possible gender-swap between Gambit and Colossus....that would put Shadowcat and Rogue in LGBT relationships.
Though in all honesty, I'm leaning more towards keeping Gambit male and making Colossus a female.
Since I think it would be nice for Shadowcat to finally be in a relationship with another female for once.
Although I haven't seen too many people mention it, it is pretty strange how despite being canonically bisexual, Shadowcat is still being restricted to male love interests.
I've heard something that it has to do with writer bias, since a lot of them had crushes on her back in the day.
It does seem like they're now gonna change it since she does seem to have thing for Rasputin IV.
Apart from the team themselves, what about their standing in the world?
Well, this might be a bit controversial, but in this universe, the X-Men have finally achieved their original dream of a world where mutants and humans peacefully co-exist with each other.
Since in this universe, the human race are actually decently intelligent.
Along with that, they've come to see the X-Men as what they truly are....heroes, due to the various good deeds they've done over the years.
And because of the deeds of the X-Men, humans have began to change their perspective on mutants overall.
And while there are still humans who hate the mutants, they're more of a minority now.
But despite achieving their dream, the X-Men still persist as heroes....simply because they want to.
Yeah, the heroes in this universe will be actual heroes, people who go out of their way to help those in need.
But you're probably wondering, if the X-Men finally achieved their dream, what kind of conflict would they deal with now?
Well, simple.....
This series would have 4 seasons, with each one focusing on a different antagonist.
The first season will be the
Return Season.
The main antagonists will be the
Brotherhood of Mutant Supremacy (consisting of Mystique, Destiny, Blob, Pyro, Avalanche, Unus the Untouchable, Lorelei, Sabertooth, Mastermind, Lady Mastermind, and Toad), who had spent the last 2-3 years in the Raft.
That was until they were broken out by Bolivar Trask and General Kincaid (from X-Men Legends).
Their reason for doing so was simple.....revenge.
With the rising acceptance of mutants as whole, plus their frankly heinous actions against them and humanity, Trask and Bolivar have become societal rejects.
They've been stripped of both of their positions by the government, and are now treated like shit by everyone.
This has made the duo's hatred for the X-Men even greater than ever before.
As a result of this, they decided to break the Brotherhood out of the Raft so they could work together to take out the X-Men once and for all and conquer the world.
Although both sides do hate each other, they do form an alliance due to their shared hatred for the X-Men.
Basically the classic the enemy of my enemy is my friend.
And since the Brotherhood have also gone through secondary mutations of their own, they're even more of a challenge for the X-Men than ever before.
The season will also feature other villains like The Juggernaut, Black Tom Cassidy, The Silver Samurai, Sauron, Arcade, and the entire island of Genosha.
Luckily, the X-Men will have plenty of allies to back them up.
These include
Charles Xavier, obviously.
Duncan Mathews, who in this universe, is a pretty nice guy and a longtime ally of the X-Men, essentially being like their April O'Neil.
Moira MacTaggert, who's still a human.
Ka-Zar,
Shanna the She-Devil, and
Zabu.
Nick Fury, who has formed a partnership with the X-Men to promote human-mutant relations.
James Produstar and
Theresa Cassidy, Thunderbird's little brother and Banshee's daughter, who are both little kids.
The Avengers and
The Fantastic Four, who are actually close allies with the X-Men rather than rivals who try to rip each other's throats whenever they cross paths.
Plus, they have members of their respective teams dating each other.
And I know some of you are gonna ask this, but Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch, and Franklin Richards will all still be mutants.
X-Factor (which consists of Forge, Havok, Polaris, Strong Guy, Chat, Longshot, and Multiple Man).
A bit more reluctantly,
Deadpool.
And a new ally in the form of
Nathaniel Essex, a world famous geneticist who has partnered up with S.H.I.E.L.D. and Xavier to study and learn more about the X-Men and the other superheroes of New York.
But undoubtedly the big bad of this season would be the one and only,
Magneto!
There would be a storyline throughout this season involving the Brotherhood searching for the whereabouts of their leader, along with the pieces of his iconic helmet.
And given how powerful Magneto already is in the comics, imagine what he would be like this in new universe where everyone is a badass right out of Shonen Jump!
Also, I wanted to add this real quick, but Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch will be Magneto's grandchildren rather than his children.
I mean, the guy is over 90 years old....
Season 2 would be the
Clone Season.
I'm pretty sure you all knew this already, but Dr. Essex would essentially be the main villain of this season, taking on his iconic identity as
Mister Sinister.
Sinister's master plan is to create the perfect army of hybrids, made from the DNA of the X-Men and the other superheroes, which is the reason why he worked with them last season.
And he plans to use this army to conquer the world.
So this season will basically be like The Clone Saga, except not shit.
Apart from Sinister, this season would introduce to
Marauders and various notable clones of the X-Men, like
Madelyn Pryor,
Archangel, and even
X-23.
Season 3 will be the
Apocalypse Season.
As you would expect, the main villain of this season will be none other than
Apocalypse, with Mister Sinister serving as the secondary villain.
Apocalypse's plan is to use his Four Horsemen to conquer the world, rid of those he sees weak, and enslave those he deems strong.
This season will not only see the X-Men working with all of their allies, but also their enemies, in order to defeat Apocalypse.
This season would also see a redemption arc for Magneto and the Brotherhood, with them finally going from villains to heroes.
The season would also introduce us to
X-Force, a team of time-traveling mutants consisting of Cable, Domino, Shatterstar, Rictor, Boom Boom, Theresa and James (now going by their Siryn and Warpath aliases), Rachel Summers, and the future children of the other X-Men.
Also, since Cyclops won't be hooking up with Madelyne, Cable will be the son of him, Jean and Wolverine, with Rachel being his biological younger sister.
I should mention this that this series would have a lot of influence from shonen manga/anime, with one of the biggest being Dragon Ball Z.
And this season would have one of the strongest influences from DBZ.
Just like Trunks, X-Force will be portrayed as a band of heroes from a dystopian future (that being the Age of Apocalypse), who traveled back in time to stop the source of said future.
The fourth and final season will be the
Multiverse/Space Season This season will be heavy emphasis on the extraterrestrial side of the X-Men.
This season will see the introduction of The Broods, The Flock, The Sh'iar, The Starjammers, Mojo, and Vulcan.
This season will also but a heavy emphasis on the Multiverse.
As this universe's X-Men will meet various iterations of themselves from across the ages.
From the 616, to the Ultimate, to the animated, to the movies.
The main MVP would have to be none other than Jean herself.
A huge plotline for this season is that would become the new host of the Phoenix Force, and is now learning how to use it, with the help of 616 iteration, who has learned to master the entity.
And this Jean really needs to if she's gonna be able to take on the season's main villain...herself.
Well technically it's a variant of her who also became the host of the Phoenix, but was overwhelmed by its power and became evil.
And thus,
Dark Phoenix was born...
Many of the multiversal variants of the X-Men and the Marvel characters already knew of Dark Phoenix before the events of the series.....and I'll be honest, they're all scared shitless of her.
And why won't they?
She's an all-powerful being with enough strength to destroy entire planets!
And although they've tried their best to avoid her, they can't anymore when she forces the entire multiverse to fight in a tournament that will decide their fate, and against villainous variants of themselves, all of whom are powerful in their own right.
From
Maestro, to
The Maker.
And final event is a battle against her and the multiverse's strongest fighters.
If the heroes win, Dark Phoenix will leave the multiverse alone forever.
But if they lose, she'll basically destroy everything and everyone.
Before we wrap up, I do want to talk about the art-style and the animation.
The art-style would be done by Boris Grovez, aka
ArtFrenzyBoris, who has a really cool art-style I vibe with.
Not only does it look like something right out of a comic book, but also this sense of expressiveness and a cartoony nature not typically found in most comic books or superhero cartoons.
If you want to check it out, here's a link to his DeviantArt page below.
https://www.deviantart.com/artfrenzyboris/gallery As for the animation, it would be done by Flying Bark Studios.
The animation studio behind Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Monkie Kid, and Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur.
When considering that this series would be heavily inspired by shonen manga/anime, you can't tell me that this wouldn't be the best studio to possibly animated this show.
I mean, have you seen their animation?!

2023.06.10 18:23 LoveLife672 Find a guy I met on the train
Hey guys!
Hope you’re all having a fun Saturday.
I was really hoping someone could help me out here. Yesterday night I was on a high-speed train from Barcelona to Madrid, which is where I live. About three rows in front of me there was a guy seated who I could clearly see from my spot. I started noticing him after a while, because he was so beautiful.
He looked at me too, quite a lot. At first I got nervous. I’m not really the kinda guy who is into public flirting, if I am not on something at least haha. I’m 24 and he must have been a little older, with a beard and long hair.
At one point he started looking more and he started pointing to the left with his finger, to the chair next to him which was empty. I was too scared to go sit (again I’m a big pussy when it comes to this).
I did go to the bathroom in the hope he’d follow me. He didn’t but after a while he went and he looked at me while getting up.
Even when Id try to sleep, Id open my eyes and catch him staring at me.
The last hour of the train ride we were staring at each other for minutes at a time. I was sure I fell in love right there.
I pulled out my pack of cigarettes to show him I smoke, so we could meet outside the station where Id be smoking.
Everyone started getting up and a woman made way for me so I was forced to get up. While he was still behind. I walked with the crowd but took the wrong exit. I think I missed him. I didn’t find him anymore after that.
All I know is his assigned chair number. So I contacted the train company today, making up a story of how this guy lost his bracelet and they can share my contact details with him so he can contact me about that. They told me I’m to return the ‘bracelet’ to the train station’s lost and found.
This sucks.. is there any way I can find this guy?

2023.06.10 18:20 Big_idea_005 Monroe County John & Jane Doe (1975)
This is a case I'd come across on NamUs a while back before it was added to Doe Network in April last year and it hasn't gotten a lot of attention.
On March 15, 1975, the badly beaten and dismembered bodies of a man and a woman were found in the bushes 400 feet from Loop Road, officially County Road 94, 5 miles south of the Tamiami Trail in the Big Cypress Swamp of Monroe County, Florida. Both had been fatally beaten with a blunt object, cut in half, placed into 4 green garbage bags, and then the garbage bags were put into 4 unmarked canvas duffel bags. Their hands were missing, likely to prevent fingerprinting. The man was bound with a cord, and the woman was handcuffed (they were cheap Japanese-made handcuffs), both then being murdered "execution style". Both had been dead for 4 weeks by the time of discovery.
The man was white, 40-50 years old, 5'10" (estimated), 145-150 lbs. (145 lbs. estimated per NamUs), with reddish brown hair and possibly a beard. His eye color could not be determined. The woman was also white, 30-40 years old, 5'4" (estimated), 120-130 lbs. (125 lbs. estimated per NamUs), with light brown or blond hair. Her eye color was also undetermined. Neither had any distinguishing marks or features; the man was edentulous with healed-over gums, and the woman's teeth showed a lack of care in later years although she had extensive dental work done prior.
The man was wearing a white "Catalina" size M knit shirt and size 32 khaki or green L.L. Bean shorts with another label (store label per Doe Network) "Yodel Britches". The woman was wearing a white "Dunofold, Inc." v-neck athletic shirt with a red, white, and blue ribbed collar, a small black and gold eagle embossed on the left front, and a store label for Stan Smith in Mohawk, NY, size medium baggy white muslin calf-length pants, and red knee-high socks. Neither had any underwear or shoes.
The status of their DNA is unknown, and their fingerprints are not available due to their hands having been removed.
Investigators believe the couple were originally from the Northeast based on their clothes and possibly hippies due to their lack of underwear. The clothes definitely seem definitely northeastern to me but the lack of underwear alone doesn't point me towards them having been hippies.
As with many cases found in the Everglades and Big Cypress, there's a good chance they were killed in the urban areas along the East Coast (Miami, Fort Lauderdale, etc.) and then driven inland to hide their bodies although the West Coast (Naples, Fort Myers, etc.) shouldn't be ruled out either. (This isn't explicitly stated anywhere I've seen, but based on similar cases this is likely what I think happened.) Loop Road itself goes through the southern end of Big Cypress National Preserve and, to my understanding, doesn't see a lot of traffic apart from park visitors and hikers going to the Florida Trail, the southern end of which is directly on the road. Loop Road is also unpaved and some areas can get difficult to drive through with weather.
There are no exclusions for the man, but 2 for the woman:
Pamela Nater (1966) and
Brenda Lefler (1974).
Any ideas or theories on who they were, why they were killed, or who could've done it? Leave a comment if so.

2023.06.10 18:19 aelfin Beron I - Everyone Serves Someone
Beron can pretend this is the right thing to do through famine and flame, but the truth is the truth: this is revenge, and never any more. He looks into the bowl within which lies the scattered collection of his hair and his beard, and with one hand scratches at his fresh-stubbly scalp. His fingers break the surface tension of the water, clearing a space in which he'll glimpse himself, and when it settles again he can hardly recognise the man staring back at him.
Marcher men are built for hardship. The words of his father echo in his mind; and words of a similar sort given utterance later by Raymund Caron. Marcher men are built for hardship. For hard things. He had known life as a knight of none to little renown and he'd been happy with his lot. Ambition is to men what the torch is to thatch -- things too easily married, with disastrous conclusions.
In his small, rented room, Beron Cole gathers up what little in the world he'll be able to carry with him on the road ahead; if there is a road ahead, he remarks, idly. It's not much. The sum total of his world amounts to the batter, bruised chainmail and gambeson he wears under the worn travel cloak that has seen as many nights sleeping beneath a hedge as it has rainstorms; he has his sword, a broadsword with chips and scratches from half a hundred tourneys over half a thousand miles. He has a knapsack within which he keeps half a loaf of hard bread, some cheese, a pittance of dried beef.
When he leaves his rented rooms he does so quietly, without much fuss. He leaves on the counter half the coin he has left in the world. He steps out into the streets of King's Landing with a mountain of a task ahead and only half the feeling of luck he feels he'll need to reach the summit.
Beron can pretend this is the right thing to do through famine and flame, but the truth is the truth: this was a thing done that could not be undone.

2023.06.10 18:19 theplantbasedwitch Need suggestions for father's day gifts for 10+ dads in our family - annual tradition and running out of ideas. PLEASE HELP!
Hey dads,
Hopefully this is an appropriate place to post this and ask for suggestions. I know this is a little late with it being two weeks away, but I'm losing my mind asking my husband for help with the dads every year. I'm not a parent and my husband's family didn't really do gifts growing up, so I really need some help. I've looked in the parenting and dad subs, but can't find many posts about father's day gifts.
This is a little long, but please stay with me if you have the time. I'm probably overthinking it, but I want to start giving the men proper gifts they can enjoy. Maybe my expectations are too high and men don't really care, but my dad and grandpa's always seemed to, so I'm reaching out for help.
Each mother's day, I (f30) gift the same present to the moms in our life, as there are around 15. They all love that it's a tradition and it's the same gift for them all, though the designs, colors and words are different. Their friends at church and around town all love the tradition as well, and always look forward to what they get each year lol. Some of the men have commented on how much thought goes into the mother's day gifts, so I would like to start doing it for them as well. Preferably, a gift I can put together (see what I've done for the women below) and isn't too pricy for a bulk order. They seem to appreciate the tradition and displaying it for everyone.
My dilemma is, the gifts I think of for the men all just seem lame and inconsiderate compared to what I do for the ladies every year. We have around 15 men to gift items to every year, and I expect it to increase over the years, as I plan to foster or adopt. Currently, we gift to our dads, grandpa's, siblings, uncles (+ greats), a few cousins we spend time with regularly and our best friends. It might be too over the top for some, but I enjoy celebrating the parents in my life, as I've learned so much from them and hope to be able to integrate it into my own parenting, if I'm ever able.
My mom always gave such heartfelt gifts to my dad and grandpa's growing up, all picked out individually and unique to their interests.
One grandpa was native American and embraced his heritage with native decor, so that's typically what he got and displayed it around their home.
Another grandpa fished and loved his old Ford tractor, taking it to shows all while us kids were growing up, so he always got gifts related to that.
My other grandpa cherished the family farm and grounds, his tractor and keeping the grass mowed, so we always did gifts relating to that or spend a weekend, helping do yardwork and work around the farm.
My husband and I are having our deck taken out and having a patio porch built this summer, so I plan to do ladies brunch and cookout for the men in the future, but would still like suggestions, as I plan to continue to do the gifts for everyone.
*Please do not suggest alcohol - it's fine for my husband's dad & step-dad, but it just isn't something my family gave as gifts growing up.
What I've done for the women in the past: ● Hanging baskets & shepherd's hooks ● Royal icing cookies of flower boquets, flower arrangements, ones with the words mom, grandma, aunt, etc. ● Garden flags ● Fruit & veg baskets of their individual favorite produce during covid ● Garden decor - those metal sunflowers that have a bird feeder where the seeds are on real ones, small concrete garden decor like benches, plaques, stones, etc. ● Bird feeders or those hanging treats shaped like birdhouses and such, made our of birdseed
Things I've been suggested for the men: ● Nail clippers ● Beard/mustache comb ● Alcohol/beer ● Experiences, such as lunch or dinners, outings with them (but there are so many people we gift to, so I'm lost here unless anyone has suggestions) ● Socks, etc. ● Coffee mugs (most don't drink it & have a million tumbler cups) ● Yard tools, equipment, shop tools, etc.
If you've stayed with me this long, I appreciate you endlessly. I will take any suggestion, big or small, as the thought put into picking and packaging it matter the most. I just want them to feel thought of on this day celebrating them and be able to display their gifts if they want.

2023.06.10 18:17 meditationenthusiasm Is a foil shaver right for my edges ?
I'm an indian male 21 and my beard is just starting to get thicker. The problem is my neck hairs are thick like a darn jungle and shaving it with a conventional beard trimmers 0 guard just doesn't give me a close shave as a gillete cartridge razor.
I'm considering to buy those foil shavers for my neck and edges but idk if it will actually cost me more time and money as the cartridge one in the long run or not ? Is the foil shaver as close as a gillete wet shave? Does the hair grow back quickly after a foil shave ?
